New Labour M.P. Margaret Moran -”UNFIT TO PLEAD” HER DEFENCE IN THE MASS THEFT FROM THE PEOPLE/EXPENSES SCANDAL 2009

Margaret Moran, the former Labour MP accused of falsely claiming £80,000 in expenses, has been found ‘unfit to plead’ after a court heard she felt ‘suicidal’ after being ‘abandoned’ by the Labour party.

Mr Justice Saunders admitted his judgement may be viewed with ‘scepticism’ but concluded that Moran, 56, of Southampton, Hampshire, is unfit to plead.

Moran did not attend the hour long hearing at Lewes Crown Court.

It was found she is suffering from “a depressive illness with associated anxiety” to a “moderate severity” and that she will be unable to enter a plea to her 21-count indictment.

The court heard the shame and “villification” she had suffered after being accused of fiddling her expenses had left her a “broken woman.”

Her illness becomes much worse whenever the case was mentioned, Dr Philip Joseph, a consultant forensic psychiatrist, told the court.

Dr Joseph, called by Moran’s defence lawyer Jim Sturman, said: “She has feelings of abandonment from the Labour party.

(2012) New Labour Peer Lord Ahmed -suspended after ‘offering £10m bounty on Barack Obama and George Bush’

A controversial peer has been suspended from the Labour Party amid reports that he offered a £10 million bounty for the capture of President Barack Obama and his predecessor President George W Bush.

Lord Ahmed, 53, who in 1998 became the first Muslim life peer, was reported to have made the comments at a conference in Haripur in Pakistan.

A Labour Party spokesman said: “We have suspended Lord Ahmed pending investigation. If these comments are accurate we utterly condemn these remarks which are totally unacceptable.”

According to Pakistan’s Express Tribune newspaper Lord Ahmed offered the bounty in response to a US action a week ago.

The US issued a $10 million reward for the capture of Pakistani militant leader Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group, who it suspects of orchestrating the 2008 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people died as terrorists stormed hotels and a train station.

The British peer reportedly said: “‘If the US can announce a reward of $10 million for the (capture) of Hafiz Saeed, I can announce a bounty of £10 million (for the capture of) President Obama and his predecessor, George Bush.”

(2012) New Labour Cllr Stephanie Brookfield -DRUNK AND DISORDERLY

A PROSPECTIVE borough councillor has apologised after being arrested at a Rovers match.

Blackburn Rovers fan Stephanie Brookfield, who is standing for Labour in the Earcroft ward of Darwen in May’s elections, was arrested at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux stadium on Saturday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We can confirm a 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly at Molineux football ground on Saturday.

“She was arrested after complaints from ground staff.

“She was taken to Wolverhampton Police Station, where she was given a caution and released.”

Miss Brookfield, who is active among Rovers fans who have been protesting against owners Venky’s, said: “During the match, a large number of people were protesting against Venky’s.

“Unfortunately, some of them were arrested.

“I am a passionate and vocal Rovers supporter and always have been.

“The police kept me at the station before throwing me out after a couple of hours.

“I missed my coach home as a result.”

Miss Brookfield will still be standing at the forthcoming elections.

Labour councillor for Earcroft Trevor Maxfield said: “Stephanie is a passionate Blackburn Rovers fan and is down at Ewood week in week out. We are fully behind her.”

A Lancashire Labour Party spokesman said: “The incident was totally out of character and Stephanie apologises for any offence caused.”

The list of candidates for the council elections will be finalised at the end of March.

Miss Brookfield is standing for both Darwen Town Council and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

(2012) New Labour Cllr. Daniel Munyambu -SUSPENDED FOR VARIOUS COUNTS OF FRAUD AND FORGERY

A Kenyan Councillor in the UK, who was earlier this week charged before the Nairobi Chief Magistrate with various counts of fraud and forgery, has been suspended by his Labour Party pending the outcome of the trial.

Councillor Daniel Munyambu of Vange Ward, Essex, was on Monday charged before theNairobi Principal Magistrate Esther Maina with three counts of fraud and forgery.

He is alleged to have forged receipts and obtained £18,000 (Sh2.37m) under false pretences on various dates in November 2008.

When contacted, Basildon Labour Group Deputy Leader Phil Rackley said: “Daniel Munyambu is suspended as a labour councillor pending the outcome of the trial. If it takes more than six months to go to trial and he is unable to return to the UK, there would have to be a by-election because a councillor cannot miss meetings for that time,” Rackley said.

But Baroness Angela Smith of Basildon, who has worked closely with Munyambu on local issues said: “This is a bolt of the blue, but a great concern, and we will have to wait the outcome of the trial.”

A Basildon council spokesman said they were concerned to hear a member of their council had been arrested and charged with criminal offences in Kenya but were not willing to make further comment.

“However, we will be following this case closely,” he said.

Munyambu, a source told The Standard, will remain a councillor until the outcome of the case despite his suspension by the Labour party.

VIDEO: M.P.s: Our Drunk “Representatives”

They are there to solve the UK’s pressing problems, but it seems MPs need some help too. The recent arrest of a Labour MP after a late-night brawl in the House of Commons bar, is just the latest in a string of alcohol fuelled scandals. RT’s Laura Smith reports on how some Parliamentarians are said to be drinking their way through life at Westminster.

(2012) New Labour Cllr. Kyle-Noel Taylor -JAILED FOR BEATING 19-YEAR-OLD GIRLFRIEND

A COUNCILLOR has been jailed and kicked out of public office after losing an appeal against his conviction for beating his ex-girlfriend.

Kyle-Noel Taylor was convicted in December of four counts of assault by beating 19-year-old Rebecca Jackson following a trial at North Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court.

The 20-year-old is today starting a six-month jail term after a judge yesterday threw out his appeal, ruling that Taylor had not been truthful.

Earlier, a magistrate who had sat in Taylor’s previous trial was told to leave the court’s public gallery by the judge because the defendant argued he would not get a fair hearing.

Following the verdict, Taylor, who has always denied the charges, was axed from his position as Kidsgrove ward councillor on Newcastle Borough Council with immediate effect.

Sentencing Taylor, of Victoria Avenue, Kidsgrove, Judge Robert Trevor-Jones said: “We are of the view that the claimant has told the truth to the court and has been the victim of repeated assaults at the hands of the appellant.”

Taylor first met Miss Jackson when the pair were at high school together and they were in an “on and off” and “volatile” relationship for around three-and-a-half years, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard yesterday.

The attacks related to incidents on January 6, January 22, January 25 and March 24 last year.

One of the attacks took place just hours after Taylor, who had no previous convictions, returned home from a Newcastle Borough Council meeting.

On January 6, Taylor butted and struck Miss Jackson in the face following an argument over ex-partners, which left Miss Jackson with a chipped front tooth.

Then on January 22, Taylor attacked Miss Jackson by punching her in the head, grabbing her round the neck and banging her head on a kitchen counter.

In an incident on January 25, Taylor bit Miss Jackson’s finger when she confronted him about cheating on her and punched her in the stomach when she told him she might be pregnant.

And on March 24, Taylor butted Miss Jackson three times, punched her in the face and bit her on the cheek.

Police took photographs of Miss Jackson’s injuries, which included bruises to her face and body.

(2012) New Labour M.P. Eric Joyce -FINED £3,000, ORDERED TO PAY £1,400, AND BANNED FROM PUBS

  • Eric Joyce admitted four charges of assault
  • MP shouted ‘You can’t touch me, I’m an MP!’ as he was arrested
  • Fined £3,000 and ordered to pay £1,400 to victims at Westminster Magistrates’ Court
  • Also receives twelve-month community order, is banned from entering pubs for three months, and given a weekend curfew
  • Will not resign as an MP before next election in 2015

A Labour MP who head-butted fellow politicians in a House of Commons bar brawl was spared jail yesterday.

Eric Joyce, 51, threw punches and ‘nutted’ two Conservatives after a late-night drinking session, snarling: ‘There are too many ******* Tories in here.’

Witnesses said the glazed eyes of the former Army major, who had to be restrained by eight police officers, made it ‘look like nobody was home’.

As the officers dragged him to the cells, Joyce yelled: ‘You can’t touch me, I am an MP.’

Details of the extraordinary incident were revealed for the first time yesterday, as the Falkirk MP admitted carrying out the assault at Westminster Magistrates Court.

Joyce now faces expulsion from the Labour Party, but vowed to continue serving as an independent.

The brawl broke out in the Commons Strangers’ Bar, which is reserved for MPs and their guests, at about 10.30pm on February 22. One of Joyce’s friends, Stuart Niven – an amateur opera singer – started to sing loudly, provoking startled glances from a neighbouring table of Conservatives.

Joyce, who had drunk a bottle of red wine, stood to warn Tory MP Alec Shelbrooke: ‘Don’t ever look at my guests in that way again’.

When another Conservative MP, Andrew Percy, asked him to sit down, Joyce shoved him up against the wall, shouting: ‘This bar is full of ******* Tories.’

When Mr Shelbrooke said: ‘You can’t treat an MP like that in a place like this,’ Joyce swung for the Tory, who ducked the blow. Joyce then punched Conservative councillor Luke Mackenzie, splitting his lip, before head-butting another, Ben Maney.

Labour whip Phillip Wilson then put a hand on Joyce’s shoulder and said: ‘Calm down Eric – what’s going on?’ Joyce responded by punching him in the face.

Police arrived to find Joyce smelling ‘strongly of alcohol’ with ‘glazed’ eyes. He continued his assault as the officers tried to restrain him, swearing at them before head-butting Tory MP Stuart Andrew, giving him a bloody nose and concussion.

(2012) New Labour Cllr. Manish Sood -INDECENT ASSAULT/PESTERING SCHOOL GIRLS FOR SEX

A former Leicester city councillor who caused a political storm by describing Gordon Brown as “the worst Prime Minister in history”, pestered two schoolgirls for sex and indecently assaulted a young woman.

Manish Sood kissed a 22-year-old on her bottom in the guise of “therapy” and offered to pay two girls, aged 14 and 15, to visit his home for “massages”.

Divorced Sood (40), of Roundhill Road, Leicester, appeared at the city’s Crown Court to be sentenced for the offences, which he admitted.

Sood was Labour councillor for Leicester’s Fosse Ward and Parliamentary candidate for Norfolk North West when he criticised Gordon Brown two years ago, making national headlines and damaging Labour’s 2010 election campaign.

He was suspended from the party but readmitted in January last year. He remained Fosse councillor until the local elections last May, when he did not seek re-election.

The Crown Court hearing was told that on February 6 last year that Sood phoned one of the teenage victims after she posted an advert on the Gumtree website seeking a part-time job.

Prosecutor Sian Cutter said Sood offered to pay her £20 to lie down on a couch and have a massage, which she refused.

He continued to contact her, urging her to meet him at his home. Sood rang her 27 times and sent 15 texts.

The girl complained to a 15-year-old friend at school, who rang Sood and told him to leave her friend alone.

But Sood then directed his attention to the friend, asking if she was interested in “therapy”, and sending 26 texts and phoning 152 times in three days, suggesting she visit for “physical tantra”.

He told her to bring “toe rings and condoms”, the court heard.

Sood suggested picking her up from school, which worried her as she had not told him where it was.

In front of a teacher, she told Sood to stop bothering her on the phone, to which he replied: “Even for £200? Let me know if you change her mind.”

He was then reported to the police. When arrested, he accepted he had “sexual motives” towards the schoolgirls and claimed his medication made him “forgetful”.

Ms Cutter told the court that Sood had met the 22-year-old woman through Gumtree in January last year, and she went to his home genuinely believing he was a therapist.

Sood took her to his bedroom to demonstrate relief of “aroma and tantra”.

He massaged over her clothes, touching her inappropriately and kissing her stomach, causing her to freeze in fear.

Sood massaged her back, pulled down her leggings and underwear and kissed her bottom. She was too scared and uncomfortable to say anything and left, the court heard.

Sood admitted causing or inciting the two teenagers to engage in sexual activity, and to sexually assaulting the 22-year-old.

Judge Michael Pert QC said: “It’s conduct of a dirty old man, and you’re not even old.”

(2012) New Labour Cllr. Florence Anderson -SUSPENDED FOR SUPPORTING BOMBING TORY CONFERENCE

A LABOUR councillor has been suspended after provoking outrage on Facebook.
Sunderland City Councillor Florence Anderson “liked” a comment that called for an IRA bomb at the next Conservative conference.

The comment was posted on the Facebook Group titled “Margaret Thatcher doesn’t have to be dead before we give her a funeral” – of which Miss Anderson is a member.

A Labour party spokesman confirmed that Miss Anderson had been suspended from the party in light of the comments.

They said: “These comments are disgraceful. Florence Anderson has been suspended from the Labour Party with immediate effect in light of this information.”

Crash Bang Wallace blogger Mark Wallace was the first to highlight that Ms Anderson had “liked” the comment: “We are appealing to the IRA to find it in their hearts to bomb the next tory conference(sic)” on the facebook group wall.

(2012) New Labour M.P. Eric Joyce -ARRESTED AND SUSPENDED FROM PARTY FOR EXTREME VIOLENCE IN COMMONS BAR

  • Eric Joyce allegedly attacked Tory MP Stuart Andrew in the Strangers Bar
  • The MP for Falkirk was arrested after the late night incident
  • Police confirm a man remains in custody today

A Labour MP has been suspended from the party after was arrested following an alleged brawl in a House of Commons bar last night.

Eric Joyce is said to have punched several Tory MPs in the fracas just before 11pm last night. It is reported he also hit a Labour MP.

Stuart Andrew, MP for Pudsey, was reportedly headbutted and punched in the Strangers Bar, a Commons bar reserved for MPs and their guests.

An eyewitness told the Politics Home website that Mr Joyce, a former Army officer who represents Falkirk, pushed a Tory MP and then started punching other Conservative members seated at the back of the bar. Drinks were also allegedly thrown over some bar patrons.

The MP has now been suspended from the Labour Party until the completion of a police investigation into an alleged assault, a party spokesman said this morning.

(2012) New Labour Cllr Mark Burton -PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE

A North East councillor, who was chairman of a committee responsible for children’s welfare, has been jailed for 22 months for sexually assaulting a girl and hiding pictures of child abuse on his computer.
Mark Burton, 43, preyed on his victim after a party to celebrate his re-election to Darlington Counc

il last May, and police found horrific images on his laptop.

He has spent 171 days in custody prior to sentence at Teesside Crown Court, yet has managed to claim almost £6,700 in allowances from the council. Burton has faced calls from the council leader for the cash to be repaid.

The married father of three was chairman of the council’s children and young persons’ scrutiny committee – a role the court heard he took to promote his political career.

Joanne Kidd, prosecuting, said Burton took advantage of the schoolgirl following a drunken party to celebrate his re-election to the Harrowgate Hill ward.

The girl later complained to police and officers found 16 images of child abuse in a computer folder named ZNROP -”pornz” backwards – and discovered he had searched the internet thousands of times for phrases linked to paedophilia. Specialist officers also found a file-wiping piece of software which digitally shredded documents he had held on his computer.

At first he denied attacking the girl and downloading the child porn, telling police his sons and their friends also had access to his laptop, the court heard. But earlier this month, he pleaded guilty to sexual assault and making indecent images of children.

(2012) New Labour Cllr Hassan Ahmed -SHADY EXTERNAL INFLUENCE

SENIOR Labour city councillor Hassan Ahmed took part in a decision to award a contract worth £500,000 of public money to a company where he was director and chairman, the District Auditor has concluded.

An investigation into Nottingham City Council’s Future Jobs Fund by the auditor, Sue Sunderland, has concluded Hassan Ahmed, the councillor responsible for the scheme, should have told officers about his links with the company, the First Enterprise Business Agency (FEBA).

He should also not have participated in discussions about its funding.

Mr Ahmed has denied he was involved in any decision to give money to FEBA, but the auditor Sue Sunderland believes he “was actively involved in that decision”.

She said his participation in discussions may have left him in breach of the council’s code of conduct.

Members of the council’s Standards Committee are now considering whether they should investigate.

(Article) Labour MP Sian James and Her Thugs Try to Hide Causes of South Wales Suicides

ABOVE: Swansea Labour MP Sian James

Written by Mr. Brian Gerrish from the splendid UK Column

Labour MP Sian James employed an intimidating mob to try and frighten off those attending my Swansea talk on causes of suicides in young people in South Wales. Police and Swansea Local Council attempted to close the venue. Why?

On Thursday 26 Jan 2012, with Swansea Labour MP Sian James and her howling, intimidating mob outside, I  gave a presentation entitled “Are our Children Safe – An investigation of Politics and Suicide Risks”. Helped by detailed research by local South Wales residents, who are extremely concerned at suicide risks to their children, my talk investigated causes of suicides in young people in Bridgend and South Wales. At times, the audience, which included men and women, white and black, of faith and none, was visibly  shocked as I exposed over 40 suicides, political and press reaction, the hidden dangers of conflicting Neuro Linguistic Programming NLP sources affecting children and young people, dark and disturbing dance and drama concerning abuse and suicides backed by the National Theatre Wales, dark ‘creative drama’ for youngsters in Community Halls, perverted film making for 14 yr olds covering suicide backed by the Lottery, Creative Visualisation, risks to the mental health of children by early, excessive sex education, risks from Cameron’s ‘Behavioural Change Units’ and more. Topics also included rising police suicides and the complex shadowy network of funded organisations claiming to help prevent suicides, of which Oxford’s Mindfulness Centre raises many questions.

So desperate were the Local Authorities to stop the talk that Swansea Council and the police tried to bully the venue, Samlet Social club into pulling out. Bravely they did not. Ms James’ thugs did however cause sufficient alarm and distress to intimidate and stop some people from entering the building. Betraying true old Labour supporters. Ms James MP teamed up with rapid Tory student activist Zahid Raja who blogged “..Brian, a well-known proponent of fascism, [speaking] on faux-issues that underpin Islamaphobic propaganda…”

Like many political novices rabid Raja failed to check his facts and dismisses over 40 suicides as a non-issue. I have given over 200 talks to audiences of all colours, creeds, faiths and political views. In addition, both the British Constitution Group and Lawful Rebellion welcome all truthful, honest and caring people of all backgrounds. I have spoken in Birmingham Central mosque and have an invitation to speak again. I will speak to any group who asks me, and I never judge individual people by label – political, organisation or other. As my web article on  the Leveson Inquiry warns – the loss of free speech is the most dangerous attack on us all.

Forgive me Ms James and Zahid Raja, isn’t it the Labour, Tory and Lib Dem parties under Blair, Brown, Cameron and Clegg that have killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, and are now attacking Syria and Iran – at a cost of the lives of hundreds of British military – black, white, christian, muslim and of no faith. You are both disgusting in your hypocrisy. The usual cowardly MP, Ms James refused to explain her conduct when I called her press team. She is clearly not interested in the South Wales suicides and their causes.

But why should Ms James resort to this gutter mob politics? Because her Swansea Council, other Local Authorities and the Welsh Assembly are terrified of the scale and true nature of these suicides coming out. It is the LibLabCon’s psycho socio economic political attack which is now destroying young lives, and suicide clusters are appearing across UK and Northern Ireland. Please research Gramsci and Alinsky ideology in Labour and the LibCon politics, to see and understand the blatant psycho political attack on our families, society and Nation state.

(2012) New labour Cllr. John Holden -JAILED FOR £43,000 BENEFIT FRAUD

A LABOUR councillor has been expelled from his party after being jailed for benefit fraud.

John Holden, 62, who represented Inverness South in the Highlands, was sentenced at the city’s sheriff court today to a year in prison for defrauding £43,000-worth of benefits.

He was found guilty last month after a 12-day trial.

Holden was convicted of committing the fraud over nine years, between January 1999 and August 2008.

On sentencing, Sheriff Abercrombie told him: “By deliberately making false claims for benefit and by deliberately failing to notify your true financial circumstances, you together with all other cheats who try to beat the system for personal gain have undermined that social contract. You have shown cold contempt for it.”

After Holden was imprisoned, Inverness district procurator fiscal Emma Knox said: “John Holden was in a position of trust which he flagrantly abused. For a period of over nine years he lied about his circumstances to claim in excess of £43,000 in benefits, to which he was not entitled.

“Mr Holden in effect stole money from the public purse which was intended for those who most needed it.

“The fact that he has been sentenced to the maximum term of imprisonment allowed for such offences demonstrates the serious view that has been taken of these disgraceful crimes.”

(2012) New Labour Cllr. John Friary -JAILED FOR ATTEMPTING TO GROOM A CHILD

A Labour councillor with close links to Harriet Harman and Tessa Jowell has been jailed for attempting grooming an underage girl for sex.

A 52-year-old Londoner has been jailed for 15 months after he was caught attempting to sexually groom a child online.

Scotland Yard said that John Friary, of Camberwell Road, SE5, was sentenced last Friday at Isleworth Crown Court.

Friary, a former Labour councillor, was snared by a blackmailer posing as a 15-year-old girl on internet chat rooms.

Officers from Hertfordshire Police had been investigating Peter Simms, who pleaded guilty to blackmail at St Albans Crown Court and was subsequently jailed for 21 months in May this year.

They flagged Friary – a blackmail victim of Simms – to the Met’s Paedophile Unit.

“Inquiries revealed that Friary was one of the individuals Simms had been in contact with,” said the Yard.

“Conversations between the pair involved Friary’s attempts to make arrangements to meet the individual – believing him to be a 15-year-old girl – with the intention of committing a sexual offence.”

(2012) Ex-New Labour Cllr. Shelina Akhtar -3 COUNTS OF BENEFIT FRAUD

The disgraced Tower Hamlets councillor who admitted in court dishonestly claiming housing and council tax benefit continues to defy calls for her resignation.

Cllr Shelina Akhtar didn’t turn up for last night’s key council meeting—but sent apologies instead.

Mayor Lutfur Rahman had been the latest to call for her to step down, after demands from both the Labour Group leader and Tory Group leader for her to go.

She pleaded guilty on January 9 to three charges of failing to notify a change of circumstance and continued claiming benefits and will be sentenced on February 6.

Akhtar won her seat on the council in 2010, representing Spitalfields for Labour, but then defected to become an independent working alongside Mayor Rahman.

The mayor said earlier this month that council procedures had to be followed and the authority was waiting for the outcome of the court sentencing before deciding any further steps.

(2010) New labour Cllr. Noel O’Brien (crime #3) -CONDITIONAL DISCHARGE & £85 FINE FOR ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR

A FORMER councillor and college lecturer had to be wrestled to the floor by security staff when he tried to enter Blackburn College in breach of an order banning him from all campus buildings.

Blackburn magistrates heard Noel William O’Brien, a former Haslingden councillor, claimed he was attending a pre-arranged appointment and became abusive.

And when a police community support officer arrived and asked him to calm down he said she wasn’t a ‘proper copper’ and couldn’t tell him what to do.

O’Brien, 59, of Mercer Crescent, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour.

He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs.

New Labour Cllr. Noel O’Brien (crime #2) -ARRESTED

A FORMER councillor who dialled 999 claiming he was attacked in a wheelclamping row says police refused to respond – then arrested HIM when he called one of them a homosexual.

Noel O’Brien, 58, a former Labour councillor, rang police after going to reclaim his clamped car.

He claims he was assaulted by staff at the compound in Ardwick who hit him on the head with an extendable baton. The claim is denied by bosses at the company, NCP Services.

After he left the pound, Mr O’Brien made a number of calls to police and admits he became frustrated when they did not respond immediately and that he called one police operator `a homosexual’.

Noel O’Brien, from Haslingden, Rossendale, said he made the comment in frustration. He said the person who answered the phone sounded like the late Charles Hawtrey, the actor who played camp characters in the Carry On films.

(2012) (Videos) New Labour M.P. Dianne Abbott -PUT A VILE RACIST MESSAGE ON THE INTERNET

Labour frontbencher Diane Abbott was threatened with the sack yesterday after she was accused of making racist comments.

The Shadow Minister for Public Health dived disastrously into the Stephen  Lawrence debate – claiming that ‘white people love playing divide and rule’ with the black population.

Miss Abbott, the first black woman MP, was later forced to apologise for the comments posted on Twitter.

She then accused white people of peddling a ‘tactic as old as colonialism’.

Miss Abbott immediately faced calls to resign. Tory MP Nadhim Zahawi said if a white politician had made similar comments about blacks they would have had to quit.

2011 New Labour’s Chris Baron -ABUSIVE AND THREATENING IN TRYING TO HIDE THE COUNCIL’S ACTION FROM THE PUBLIC

Labour Councillor Chris Baron, who represents Hucknall West on Ashfield Council, thinks that public servants, paid for by the taxpayer, should work out of sight of the public taxpayer.

In the video shown below, a person called Rebel Radius asks: “Who was that bastard at the end who INSISTED that public servant councillors have the right to conduct council work under privacy? That is not only totally corrupt it is also HIDING the potential for corruption.“   Well that particular “bastard” was Chris Baron.

The background to the story is as follows, a patriotic YouTube blogger 61shirley had the temerity to attempt to record a public meeting of Ashfield District Council responding to two questions put to them by a gentleman called Tony Ellis who first asked if the council accepted the European Union had “no lawful jurisdiction over the Ashfield community and its representative council?’.

The second question was why was the European flag flying is outside the council offices “when you have all been made aware that this is unlawful in accordance with your oaths of office and current Parliamentary legislation?”

The council, after much waffling, finally admits that there is no legal requirement for them to fly the hated flag of our slavery – in the video you will hear the rat traitor Baron, when asked if he would now lower the hated flag say, that No he would not.

As you will see in the video Baron then loses the plot completely and reveals his real self by becoming abusive and threatening.  The traitor Baron’s contact details can be found on his council web page here if you wish to email and politely point out the law to him.

Court finds Bush and Blair guilty of war crimes

Those who lobbied to have George W. Bush and Tony Blair tried for their role in the Iraq War have finally got their wish. Though the verdict of the court carries no legal weight, its supporters believe its symbolic value is beyond doubt.

The court in Malaysia where the trial took place may not have the power to convict, but the verdict against the former British and American leaders was unanimous.

“War criminals have to be dealt with – convict Bush and Blair as charged. A guilty verdict will serve as a notice to the world that war criminals may run but can never ultimately hide from truth and justice,”
the statement from the Perdana Global Peace Foundation read.

The foundation was set up by former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, who was always a staunch opponent of the war against the regime of Saddam Hussain in 2003. He previously branded Blair and Bush “child-killers”.

The tribunal, which consisted of a former federal judge and several academics, paid particular attention to the failure of the Western military to find a single weapon of mass destruction in Iraq. WMDs were cited by the Western coalition as a major reason for their military intervention. It also declared the war to be in contravention of the will of the United Nations.

“The evidence showed that the drums of war were being beaten long before the invasion. The accused in their own memoirs have admitted their intention to invade Iraq regardless of international law,” said the tribunal.

The tribunal has no powers of enforcement, and as yet there has been no response from Bush or Blair. But the Perdana Peace Foundation says it hopes to maintain pressure from the international community on the two leaders, both of whom have now retired from domestic politics.

Meanwhile, Donald Rumsfeld, the US Secretary of Defence during the Iraq War, is next on the list to have his case heard by the mock court.

(2011) Agent for New Labour’s Chris Bryant M.P. Stephen Carnell -JAILED FOR SERIOUS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Agent of Labour MP Chris Bryant is jailed for collecting 12,000 pictures of ‘the most serious child pornography police have seen’

Stephen Carnell was chairman of governors at a primary school in Mr Bryant’s constituency

Five laptops contained images of sadism, bestiality and child porn

He was also swapping images with other paedophiles

The agent of Labour MP Chris Bryant has been imprisoned after he was caught with a huge stash of ‘the most serious child pornography police have ever seen’.

Stephen Carnell, who was a chairman on a primary school board of governors in Mr Bryant’s south Wales constituency, was sentenced to three years in jail.

The 58-year-old was found with 12,130 pornographic images, as well as material showing sadism and bestiality, Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court was told.

A spokesman for Chris Bryant, above, said that any comment would come from Welsh Labour, who said: ‘Steve Carnell was expelled from the Labour Party immediately following his conviction’

When police visited his home, Carnell let them in, saying: ‘The child pornography is on my laptops. I’ve been stupid.’

Police saw the disturbing images on five laptops and storage equipment at his home, said David Pugh, prosecuting.

Mr Pugh said: ‘He was also distributing the images through internet file-sharing to swap with other paedophiles.’

The prosecutor said many of the images were of the most serious category, level four and five, showing ‘sexual activity with children, sadism and bestiality’.

He said Carnell had admitted to being ‘sexually interested in both male and female images on his computer’.

But he added: ‘Carnell denied being sexually attracted to children in real life.’

The election agent admitted a total of 47 charges, consisting of 35 counts of making indecent images, seven counts of possessing and four counts of distributing indecent photographs of children between May 2003 and March 2011.

There were 12,130 images and 453 films of paedophilia – showing the abuse of babies as young as 12 months as well as boys and girls up to the age of 11.

Stephen Jury, defending, said Carnell had a ‘good character’ and had been a ‘hard-working man’ for 39 years.

This is not a victimless crime – small children are subjected to the most appalling abuse for these photos and videos to be made. Anyone who is twisted enough to take part in this activity is going to be severely dealt with. This has been one of the largest number of images and movies I’ve ever had to deal with.

- JUDGE JOHN CURRAN

He said: ‘He has operated at a high professional level but he has lost his employment.

‘From the time he was arrested, he has co-operated and done what he can to assist police.

‘He appreciates the need to join a sex offenders’ treatment programme.’

A reference was handed to Judge John Curran but the author was not identified.

Judge Curran said: ‘This is not a victimless crime – small children are subjected to the most appalling abuse for these photos and videos to be made.

‘Anyone who is twisted enough to take part in this activity is going to be severely dealt with especially as there is an element of distribution.

‘This has been one of the largest number of images and movies I’ve ever had to deal with.’

Carnell was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and banned from ever working with children.

A spokesman for Mr Bryant said that any comment would come from Welsh Labour, who said: ‘Steve Carnell was expelled from the Labour Party immediately following his conviction.’

(2011) New Labour Cllr. William O’Rourke -SAID OF 9-YEAR-OLD FEMALE RAPE VICTIM “WAS SHE ASKING FOR IT?”

A Glasgow councillor has been sacked from several council positions over inappropriate comments about a nine-year-old girl who said she was raped.

Councillor William O’Rourke is said to have asked if the child “wanted it to happen” during a disciplinary panel into the sacking of a care worker.

He has now been sacked from Strathclyde Police Authority, the personnel appeals committee and two other boards.

Councillor O’Rourke, 72, has also been suspended from the Labour Party.

It is understood his comments were made during a recent personnel appeals committee, which he was chairing.

A former care assistant was appealing against dismissal after being accused of raping the child.

The former employee was never charged and continues to deny the allegations.

Councillor O’Rourke’s comments to the personnel appeals committee were disgraceful”

A female police officer, who investigated the case, gave evidence before the personnel appeals committee last month.

She is believed to have made a complaint against Councillor O’Rourke over comments he made about the case.

It is understood that Councillor O’Rourke asked if force was used during the alleged rape and when she told him it was not, he is alleged to have asked: “So she wanted it to happen?”

Councillor O’Rourke is then alleged to have made other comments about the girl which prompted the complaint.

Council leader Gordon Matheson said: “Councillor O’Rourke’s behaviour falls way short of the standard I and the public expect of Glasgow councillors.

“Councillor O’Rourke’s comments to the personnel appeals committee were disgraceful. We are elected by the public to protect the vulnerable people of our city.

‘Corporate parents’

“Councillor O’Rourke not only failed in his duty to do this but he also made highly offensive and inappropriate statements about a vulnerable young person.

“Councillors are by law the corporate parents of those in our care. It is the single most important responsibility we hold and I will ensure that every member of this council lives up to that responsibility.”

Councillor O’Rourke has been removed from Strathclyde Police Authority, the personnel appeals committee and the boards of council-owned companies City Parking and Glasgow City Markets.

He has also been suspended by the Labour Party pending Standards Commission and party investigations.

According to Labour 25,  The Police Woman made report of what Labour Party paedophile protector Councillor William O’Rouke was saying and all hell broke loose. Another Labour Councillor Johann Lamont who made her comments on a rape case from a Councillor from another party, kept silent on her own party on this bigger Paedophile issue, as the whole sex crime episode had just gone full circle and bit her on the arse.

Labour Party paedophile protector William O’Rouke then added that because the childs mother was a prostitute, it meant that the child also knew what she was doing.. his words were ”she is not a typical innocent 9 year old girl.” Then he added.. ” she was older sexually than here age” and he explained that it was not bad for a child of a prostute mother and poor background to see that it was not a crime to ‘have’ a child of her background.

Two more Labour Councillors Jim Scanlon and Jim Todd were at the meeting in which Labour Councillor William O’Rouke was ‘Ranting’… And said NOTHING !

This is disgracefull behaviour. If you are in the Labour Party you are Either a Paedophile or a Paedophile protector… and that means if you speak out aloud to protect paedophiles like William O’Rouke did… or you stay silent like Labour Party Councillors Johann Lamont, Jim Scanlon & Jim Todd..

Shame on all Four of you !

(2011) New Labour Mayor -RACIAL SLUR

PADIHAM Mayor Bob Clark has avoided suspension from duty over a racial slur he made against a Burnley call centre worker.

Coun. Clark was hauled before the Standards Committee after he was caught on tape making the remark against a Calico Homes employee during a telephone conversation.

The popular community figure admitted he was “totally ashamed” of his behaviour, which the Burnley town hall hearing was told left complainant Mr Hafiz Rehman feeling shocked and confused.

Coun. Clark, who has an “exemplary” record for charity and community work in his hometown, was found to have breached the Code of Conduct for Members on two counts – failing to treat other with respect and bringing his office into disrepute.

However, he was not found to have caused the local authority to breach the Equality Act 2010.

The Standards Committee panel took the decision to censure Coun. Clark as well as sending the serving Mayor of Padiham on diversity training.

A former Rochdale Councillor has appeared before magistrates accused of downloading child pornography.

According to Labour 25+

Labour Party Darren Pedley also saught a job around Toddlers and Children as young as 4 years old Sandbrook Primary School. Labour25 Darren Pedley took it upon himslef to be the School Governor.

Once again…. A Labour Councillor gets the job of being near little children and goes home to his computer with the intentions of downloading sickening images of children because he has been near children all day and it has aroused him sexually.

(2011) New Labour’s Margaret Moran -FACING 21 CHARGES FOR EXPENSES SCANDAL

Miss Moran, one of the last politicians investigated over the MPs’ expenses scandal, will appear before magistrates facing 21 charges relating to her parliamentary claims.

The former MP for Luton South, will appear before City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 19, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

The Director of Public Prosecutions said there were no more parliamentary expenses fraud cases awaiting review.

Keir Starmer QC said “there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest” to bring criminal charges against Moran.

Miss Moran, who has been suspended by her party, claimed more than £20,000 for the treatment of dry rot at her Southampton home.

(2011) New labour Cllr. Mark Burton -CHARGED WITH TWO SEX OFFENCES; ONE AGAINST A CHILD.

A COUNCILLOR has been remanded in custody and suspended by his party after being charged with two sexual offences.

Mark Burton was arrested only days after this month’s council elections and was charged with two offences, one against a child.

Councillor Burton was re-elected to serve the Harrowgate Hill ward on Darlington Borough Council for a second four-year term on May 5.

The 42-year-old Labour councillor was arrested three days later and charged with an offence of sexual assault and a second for sexual touching of a child.

He later appeared in front of magistrates inNewton Aycliffe, where he was remanded in custody until his next hearing on June 15. No pleas have yet been entered.

He has been suspended by his party pending the outcome of the investigation.

New council leader Bill Dixon referred The Northern Echo to the party’s regional group yesterday.

A Labour North spokesman said: “Coun Mark Burton has been placed on an administrative suspension from the Labour Party and Darlington Labour Group pending the outcome of police inquiries.

“He is unable to hold any position with, or represent, the Labour Party during his suspension.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further until police investigations are complete.”

A spokeswoman at Darlington Borough Council said: “Coun Mark Burton has been charged with two offences of a sexual nature.

“The case is still being investigated by the police and the usual child protection procedures are being followed.

“We understand that he is currently remanded in custody.

“The councillor has been suspended from the Labour group and has therefore not been put forward for seats on any of the committees.

“At this stage, the council does not have powers to take any action to suspend him.”

She added that ward matters in Harrowgate Hill would be dealt with by the two other Labour councillors – John Vasey and Marjory Knowles.

(2011) New Labour’s Eliot Morely -JAILED FOR “FALSE ACCOUNTING”/THEFT FROM TAXPAYER

Elliot Morley:

Morley, a former Labour environment minister, pleaded guilty last month to claiming more than £30,000 in bogus mortgage payments.

He entered two guilty pleas for false accounting relating to his home in Winterton, near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, between 2004 and 2007.

Morley was sentenced at London’s Southwark Crown Court.

A Labour Party spokesman said: “Elliot Morley had already been suspended from the Labour Party and following his custodial sentence he has now been excluded from the party.”

Morley, who appeared flushed throughout the hearing, showed no emotion as the sentence was delivered.

(2011) New Labour election agent Steve Carnell -CHARGED WITH POSSESSING MORE THAN 10,000 INDECENT IMAGES OF KIDS

A PROMINENT election agent has appeared in court charged with possessing more than 10,000 indecent images of children.

Former Rhondda Cynon Taf Labour councillor Steve Carnell, 57, of Trealaw, near Tonypandy, faces a total of 40 separate charges.

They include making and possessing indecent images of children and possessing extreme images involving animals.

The indecent images alleged to have been found in Carnell’s possession include over 2,000 at level four and around 150 at level five, the two most severe ratings.

Carnell – who acted as Rhondda MP Chris Bryant’s election agent last year and education minister Leighton Andrews’ agent in 2007 – was remanded in custody at Pontypridd Magistrates’ Court.

The charges date back to 2003.

There was no application for bail on his behalf and District Judge Jill Watkins remanded him in custody until his committal date of May 6.

She said: “I am remanding you in custody for fear of further offences.”

(2011) New Labour M.P. Jim Devine -GUILTY OF THEFT FROM TAXPAYER/”EXPENSES FRAUD”

Ex-Labour MP Jim Devine has been found guilty of dishonestly claiming £8,385 of expenses by using false invoices for cleaning and printing work.

The ex-MP for Livingston, 57, was found guilty on two counts, but cleared of a third count, relating to £360.

Devine nodded as the verdicts were delivered. Sentencing is in four weeks. The maximum jail term is seven years.

He was the first MP to stand trial in the wake of the revelations about Parliamentary expenses claims.

The jury took two hours and 45 minutes to agree their verdicts on the three counts.

Peter Wright QC, prosecuting, said the case against Devine was “very straightforward”, saying Devine made the fraudulent claims “with a view to gain for himself, or with an intent to cause loss to another – the public purse”.

He said the Green Book guide for MPs made clear that when claiming expenses MPs should be guided by the principles of “selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership”.

New Labour Parasite Quietly Repays £5,000 of £2,500,000 Sucked from Taxpayer and is Let Off

A Labour peer who claimed £250,000 in parliamentary expenses on a flat she visited only occasionally was spared punishment after quietly repaying £5,000.

Baroness Goudie, a friend of Gordon and Sarah Brown, admitted that she did not spend the majority of her time at the £200,000 flat in Glasgow, despite designating it as her main home for the purposes of her House of Lords allowances.

This enabled her to claim overnight expenses on the £1.5 million mews house in Belgravia, central London, she shared with her barrister husband, James.

Lady Goudie, who grew up in the capital and raised a family there, also admitted that she usually spent parliamentary recesses at a holiday home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Following a year-long investigation, the Clerk of the Parliaments, Michael Pownall, said he had “doubts” about the designation of the flat as a main residence. But no further action was taken after Lady Goudie apologised in writing.

She also repaid £5,130.50 voluntarily which she had claimed for a three-month period when she had not visited the Glasgow flat at all because of ill-health.

In total, Lady Goudie claimed about £168,000 in overnight expenses and £82,000 for travel to and from the property over a nine-year period.

Three months ago, she sold the flat for a profit of £50,000, and now designates her London address as her main home.

Blast from the past: Wirral Mayor Andrew Hodson’s firm in illegal workers investigation

‘Blast from the past’ is past news that suddenly falls on our desk.

WIRRAL’S Mayor has defended his company after it was revealed the firm provided work for alleged illegal immigrants.

Cllr Andrew Hodson is a director and part-owner of Birkenhead-based Entire Facility Management Services, which gave cleaning work to seven suspected illegal workers.

But he said his company had complied with all Government regulations and had taken correct documentation from the workers.

The UK Border Agency said on Monday it was still investigating whether any action would be taken against the company, but Cllr Hodson said he had been told they had done everything properly.

He said: “They were using false passports. The company went through all the proper procedures of employing people, taking copies of passports, National Insurance numbers and they were paid through bank accounts.

“The Borders Agency people said they had done everything they should have and the company was not at fault.”

Cllr Hodson said he had “taken a back seat” in the company since he became Mayor last year, but insisted the firm had done everything it should, and this had helped the UKBA track down the illegal staff.

He said: “The question is how are these people getting into the country on false passports and how are they getting bank accounts?”

One man, who was subsequently arrested in Manchester, has been removed from the country, according to UKBA.

Three others – two women, one from the Democratic Republic of Congo and one from Brazzaville, Congo, and a man from the Ivory Coast, who were arrested in Liverpool, have been remanded in custody, awaiting court appearances.

A spokeswoman for the UKBA said: “Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the other illegal workers arrested”.

Jo Liddy, Regional Director of the UK Border Agency in the North West, said the arrests “are part of an ongoing clampdown on illegal working in Merseyside.”

She said: “Anyone in Merseyside who takes on a foreign national without permission to work in the UK is breaking the law, undermining law abiding businesses and faces a big fine.

“There are strict rules about which foreign nationals can get a job in the UK, and businesses have a clear responsibility to carry out the right checks.”

(2011) New Labour M.P. Eric Illsley -ADMITS TO STEALING MONEY FROM TAXPAYER

Eric Illsley went from Honourable Member to criminal in the half second it took to plead guilty. Three times he was forced to declare his guilt, admitting three counts of claiming parliamentary expenses dishonestly.

Separated from the outside world by the toughened glass of the dock at Southwark Crown Court, the still-serving member for Barnsley Central stared ahead impassively as a tawdry list of fiddles amounting to some £14,500 was read out. Council tax and telephone charges over-claimed from the taxpayer; utilities bills, too.

The bluff Yorkshireman, keen on caravanning and known to down the odd pint, should enjoy a drink while he can. In a few weeks’ time he can expect to follow that other ex-Labour MP, David Chaytor, to prison. Chaytor got 18 months; Illsley, who has admitted stealing less, can hope for a shorter term.

William Coker QC, his brief, served notice that he would attempt to secure a shorter stay behind bars for his client due to the ill-health of his wife.

Illsley, 55, who proudly proclaims his council house birth on his website, was one of those unspectacular backbenchers supposedly destined for a long and comfortable parliamentary career by virtue of a safe seat. Grammar school and university educated (in law), he worked as an administrator in the National Union of Mineworkers before succeeding Roy Mason in Barnsley, where Labour votes are weighed rather than counted. They weigh rather less nowadays, but Illsley’s majority was still more than 10,000 last year when, due to the lateness of the decision to prosecute him, he was allowed to stand for Labour in the general election.

The whip was withdrawn only in May when he was charged.

(2011) New Labour M.P. David Chaytor -JAILED FOR “FALSE ACCOUNTING” (THEFT FROM TAXPAYER)

The first entry for 2011 is welcome news. Let us hope he is the first of many to realise in prison that he is not above the law.

Chaytor, 61, became the first politician to be convicted and sentenced over the MPs’ expenses scandal revealed by the Daily Telegraph.

The judge said the scandal had angered the public and “shaken public confidence in the legislature”.

Chaytor submitted bogus invoices to support claims totalling £22,650 for IT services and renting homes in London and his Bury North constituency.

He was convicted last month at the Old Bailey of three counts of theft by false accounting under section 17 of the Theft Act 1968.

(2010) New Labour’s Kerry McCarthy MP -cautioned for illegal post of election results

The Labour frontbencher Kerry McCarthy has been given a police caution after illegally revealing election results on Twitter. The Bristol East MP, who was installed as the party’s “Twitter tsar” by the former leader Gordon Brown, used the social networking site to give details of postal votes in April. She boasted to thousands of followers that an early batch showed Labour receiving far more support in her constituency than the Conservatives or the Liberal Democrats – providing figures to back up her claim.

Expenses scandal: three face suspension from House of Lords

Three peers investigated over their expenses claims face suspension from the House of Lords and repayment of tens of thousands of pounds, The Sunday Telegraph has learned

The trio – two Labour peers and a cross-bencher – are expected to be officially recommended for censure in a statement tomorrow by the House of Lords authorities.

Baroness Uddin, a Labour peer and the first Muslim woman to be appointed to the upper house, is set to be suspended from the Lords for between a year and 18 months, and has agreed to pay back £125,000 in wrongly claimed expenses.

Lord Paul, another Labour peer and a major party donor, has been recommended for a suspension of between four and six months and has agreed to pay back £40,000.

Lord Bhatia, who sits as a cross-bencher but has also donated money to Labour, faces a ban of between six and 12 months and is to repay voluntarily £27,000.

All three were investigated by the subcommittee on Lords’ interests, a powerful body in the upper house chaired by Baroness Manningham-Buller, the former head of MI5. Lord Paul and Lady Uddin were referred to the committee after criminal investigations into their cases were dropped.

Last night none of the trio was prepared to comment on the results of the investigation and its recommendations on punishments – which will now be passed to the House of Lords to vote on. However, a source close to the investigation said: “This looks extremely serious for them.”

(2010) New Labour’s Margaret Moran may be fifth MP to face court

A fifth Labour MP is likely to face criminal charges over the alleged abuse of taxpayer-funded parliamentary expenses, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

Detectives have spent several months looking into claims made by Margaret Moran, the former MP for Luton South. She is expected to be charged within weeks, according to well-placed Whitehall sources. It is understood that officers suspect Miss Moran of submitting claims for work which was not conducted at the property designated as her second home for parliamentary purposes. Other invoices may have been inflated or the dates altered.

The Labour MP was exposed by The Daily Telegraph for making some of the most controversial claims after it emerged that she had repeatedly “flipped” her designated second home. She made expenses claims for at least three different properties, in London, Luton and Southampton, over a four-year period. Miss Moran claimed more than £20,000 for the treatment of dry rot at the Southampton home – almost 100 miles from either her constituency or Westminster. However, it has not previously been disclosed that she was under police investigation. The former MP, who was forced to step down at the last election, is now set to join four other Labour politicians facing court over their expenses claims. The Metropolitan Police are still understood to be investigating a further two or three MPs, including the former Labour member Harry Cohen.

(2010) New Labour M.P. Phil Woolas -RACE HATE CHARGES

  • Former minister accused of stirring up racial hatred by falsely claiming his rival, Lib Dem candidate Elwyn Watkins, was in league with Muslim extremists
  • Pamphlets claimed his opponent supported a Muslim hate campaign which had made death threats against Mr Woolas
  • A mock newspaper also claimed that Mr Watkins was funded by a rich sheikh, that he illegally channelled funds through foreign doors and that he spent £160,000 more than the legal limit on his campaign
  • It was said that Mr Watkins, ‘a single man who lives alone with his mother’, lied about where he lived and broke his promise to move into the constituency
  • Mr Watkins’ photograph was also allegedly ‘doctored’, with him being superimposed on a picture with two police officers in an article suggesting Mr Watkins was paying staff less than the minimum wage

Labour’s former immigration minister attempted to stir up racial hatred and ‘make the white folk angry’ with his opponent in a desperate bid to keep his seat in Parliament, a court heard yesterday.

Phil Woolas is alleged to have orchestrated a dirty tricks campaign during the general election, claiming his rival, Liberal Democrat Elwyn Watkins, was in league with ‘mad Muslim’ extremists to swing the local vote in his favour.

Yesterday High Court judges convened an election court – the first in almost 100 years – to hear explosive claims of how the MP was so fixated on retaining his tightly-fought seat that he devised a ‘s*** or bust’ strategy.

Kettle and the Pot: Tory Chairman Warsi Accuses Labour’s Asians of Vote Rigging

This will be explosive. Mehdi Hassan of the New Statesman has an interview with Baroness Warsi in which the Tory chairman accuses the Asian community of electoral fraud. Specifically, she claims the Tories lost three seats because of ballot irregularities. Here’s the extract:

“At least three seats where we lost, where we didn’t gain the seat, based on electoral fraud. Now, could we have planned for that in the campaign? Absolutely not.”

This is the first time a senior minister has made such a blunt and specific allegation about the impact of electoral fraud on the general election result. Can she reveal the names of those seats? “I think it would be wrong to start identifying them,” she says, but adds: “It is predominantly within the Asian community. I have to look back and say we didn’t do well in those communities, but was there something over and above that we could have done? Well, actually not, if there is going to be voter fraud.”

(2010) New Labour Cllr. John Holden -CHARGED WITH BENEFIT FRAUD

A Highland councillor has been charged following an investigation into alleged benefit fraud.

John Holden, who represents the Inverness South ward, was investigated by police, Highland Council and the Department of Work and Pensions in 2008.

The Crown Office confirmed Mr Holden has been charged, but declined to give any further details.

The case against him is due to call at Inverness Sheriff Court next month.

Mr Holden has said he would rigorously defend the case.

The Labour councillor has been suspended from the party’s group on the council.

A Scottish Labour spokesman added: “As a police investigation is ongoing it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

(2010) New Labour Cllr Rizwan Malik -FINED FOR RENTING OUT RAT-INFESTED SLUM HOUSING

A MASSIVE fine landed on a company which rented out “rat-infested” properties in Liverpool lead to the resignation of a housing committee chief – in Bradford.

Premier Housing, based in the West Yorkshire city, was hit with penalties and costs totalling £39,180 over the state of houses in Laburnum Road and Holt Road, Kensington.

A director of the company, Cllr Rizwan Malik resigned his role as chairman of the Bradford’s housing committee and is under investigation by his own Labour party leaders.

The flats above a shop in Holt Road housed Eastern European immigrants who spoke little English. The properties were found to be infested with rats.

The walls were daubed with graffiti, the fire alarms did not work, and kitchen and bathroom fittings were in disrepair.

The company’s website claims it is “committed to providing quality rental properties that are fully maintained at all times”.

When contacted by the ECHO, Cllr Malik, 32, said: “I’ve been advised by the leadership team that I’m still under further investigation and questioning so I can’t really make any comment at this stage.”

The British “Democratic” System: Does this damage the Morale of British Troops, General?

Failing to vote in the general election would damage the morale of British troops, according to the former head of the Army.

General Sir Richard Dannatt has spoken of his concern that the abuse of MPs expenses will lead to voter apathy and warned that this is not what men and women “risking life and limb in the national interest” in Afghanistan would want.

He said it was important that every member of the electorate should cast a vote and show that the sacrifices made in Afghanistan are supported by everyone at home.

Perhaps general Dannat would care to look at the system he so whimsically champions?

Are you and the British Army glad to be defending this grotesque monstrosity that masquerades as “democracy”?

“We are awaiting comprehensive figures from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), who are collating figures on a rolling basis from the force SPOC officers across the UK of all police investigations currently being carried out relating to cases of electoral malpractice”

“most shambolic, incompetent and fraudulent elections Britain has ever witnessed.”

The Parasite is not so Easily Removed from the Back of the People…

Above: M.P.s are not so tolerant of interlopers (those appointed to give the taxpayer justice) muscling in on their patch.

A senior official tasked with cleaning up the Westminster’s expenses system, has said he left the post “for the sake of my health and sanity” amid a backlash from some MPs.

Nigel Gooding has left his job as operations director of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) following a series of rows with MPs, some of whom have been left up to £20,000 worse off under new stricter rules.

The 46-year-old civil servant was employed on a six-month contract to launch IPSA and implement cuts including an end to public subsidies on lavish second homes and first-class train trips

However, he has stood down from his role, telling the Mail on Sunday: “I have left the job for the sake of my health and sanity.”

IPSA was forced to erect a sign at its Commons offices warning MPs: ‘We will not tolerate abuse of staff.’

Many MPs have complained about IPSA’s handling of their expenses and the implementation of the new rules.

Paul Farrelly, a Labour MP, sent a complaint to Mr Gooding and said the new system was “prehistoric, amateurish, self-defeating and bureaucracy gone mad”.

He wrote: “I have been asked for a copy of my passport or birth certificate to prove my date of birth. Why that is necessary, I do not know. More importantly, as I have used my overdraft limit, my mortgage payment will bounce, causing me embarrassment and further charges You could easily have saved us all this aggravation.”

Mr Gooding’s previous jobs included launching the National Rail Enquiries service and the flu pandemic hot line.

(2010) New Labour MP Eric Illsley -CHARGED UNDER THE THEFT ACT.

A Labour MP who was only returned to the Commons in the general election earlier this month is to face a criminal prosecution over his Parliamentary expenses.

Eric Illsley faces three charges under the Theft Act on suspicion of dishonestly claiming £20,000 in council tax and other domestic charges over three years.

He will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 17.

Mr Illsley is the fifth politician to be charged over the expenses scandal. However, he is the only serving MP to have to face charges, after three others quit at the last election.

Keir Starmer, the Director of Public Prosecutions, said after reviewing the evidence “we concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to bring criminal charges against Eric Illsley MP”.

The charges allege that “Mr Illsley dishonestly claimed expenses in relation to council tax, service and maintenance charges, repairs and insurance charges, and utilities and communications charges for his second home in Renfrew Road, London”.

(Video) New Labour M.P. Ed Balls

Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper, the husband and wife Cabinet ministers, “flipped” the designation of their second home to three different properties within the space of two years.

After being elected to Parliament for the first time in 1997, Miss Cooper, now the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, designated a modest property in her constituency of Castleford, west Yorkshire, as her second home, and began claiming mortgage interest payments on her parliamentary allowances.

In May 2005, after Mr Balls was elected MP for Normanton, Miss Cooper “flipped” her second home to the family house she shared with her husband and their three children in south London. The couple both began claiming a half share of the £1,466 mortgage interest, a sum of £733 each compared with the £530 she had been paying in Yorkshire.

Ed Balls “flipped” his house three times;

He claimed for a remembrance poppy wreath (even though he and his wife, Yvette Cooper, have an income of a staggering £300,000;

He took an £89,000 payment for producing two pamphlets for the Smith Institute in 9 months. The Smith Institute charity was a front for Gordon Brown and was criticised by the Charity Commission for supporting Brownite political projects. Gordon Brown’s allies Lord Myners and Wilf Stevenson resigned from the Smith Institute following the report and it was widely perceived to be a slush fund for Brown’s leadership ambitions;

He also thinks it is acceptable to teach innocent 4-year-old children –children who are still coming to terms with shapes, words and colours–  sex education including HOMOSEXUAL SEX. (One might credibly ask, “When is paedophilia not paedophilia?”)

(2009) New Labour MP Denis MacShane -PARASITE

Labour MP Denis MacShane has claimed nearly £20,000 a year in expenses for an office based in the garage of his South Yorkshire home.

The former Europe Minister has claimed £125,000 over the past seven years to cover the costs of running his official constituency base from the shabby-looking garage of his semi-detached home in Rotherham.

His most recent claim was for £18,400.

Last night, one fellow Labour MP privately said he was ‘very surprised’ at the scale of Mr MacShane’s claims given that he does not have to pay to rent an office.

‘I pay £6,000 a year in rent so if he doesn’t have to pay that, it sounds like a lot of money,’ said the MP.

MPs normally spend most of their ‘Incidental Expenses Provision’ on their constituency base, as Commons’ offices are provided free of charge – including telephone and heating bills – while staff salaries are paid separately.

There was little sign yesterday of the office costs spent at Mr MacShane’s home.

The windows of the garage were covered with black plastic, ensuring that no one could peer inside, while a black wheelie-bin guarded the wooden doors. Paint was peeling from the garage doors.

(Video) New Labour’s Leader Turns his Anger on the People

EVEN the Labour Party faithful ought to be in despair at this refreshing honesty from the leader of a party that once could be said to support the people.

The two faces of the Labour regime are most apparent: the concerned, understanding and empathetic side that wants to retain a grip on its illegitimate power -at all cost; and the more characteristic, haughty, and malevolent side that is concerned, understanding and empathetic to only its own cause.

Actions speak louder than words: watch the leader of the Labour Party in his truest form; in his most billious contempt for everyday people who question the corrupt status quo. One of many warnings -of that much is certain.

(2010) New Labour Council Leader Richard Leese -CAUTIONED FOR ASSAULT

Richard Leese, the Labour leader of Manchester city council, has stepped down temporarily with immediate effect after being arrested and cautioned for assaulting his stepdaughter.

He said in a statement today: “I’ve asked the Labour group and party to allow me a necessary period of time out, as long as is needed, to resolve serious family issues.

“This request has been agreed and the deputy leaders will be taking on my responsibilities. My wife Joanne and I and our family would appreciate it if we could be left in peace during this period.”

A spokesman for the council insisted his resignation was temporary.

Leese was arrested on Monday night and spent nearly 20 hours in custody after police were called to his home in Crumpsall to deal with a claim that a 16-year-old girl had been assaulted.

He was taken to Pendleton police station, in Salford, where he spent the night before being questioned by officers.

The 58-year-old was released just before 7pm yesterday after accepting a caution, which is an admission of guilt.

(2010) New Labour Cllr. Simon Crew -IN COURT OVER BENEFIT FRAUD

A Bristol city councillor has appeared in court over a £3,000 benefits fraud.

Labour councillor Simon Crew, who represents Brislington East, appeared at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Crew, 34, is accused of receiving carers allowance benefit that he was not entitled to totalling £3,554.

He pleaded not guilty to failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) of a change in circumstances which would affect his entitlement to benefits or other payments.

Crew also pleaded not guilty to receiving earnings in excess of the prescribed limits while in receipt of benefit.

Mr Caborn is thought to have told the fake firm, created as part of a sting operation by Channel 4′s Dispatches, that he preferred to work for niche nuclear companies who paid him much more money than big nuclear firms.

The MP for Sheffield Central is a director of Nuclear Management Partners and a consultant to AMEC, a construction firm in the nuclear industry. The former sports minister is also a consultant to the Fitness Industry Association. Both former ministers deny any wrongdoing.

Mr Ingram, the MP for East Kilbride, is understood to have cited work he does for a defence firm in Libya as evidence of his experience in the field of business. He already makes up to £170,000 a year from consultancy work and non-executive directorships while also drawing his MP’s salary of £63,291.

One of his five outside jobs includes providing consultancy services to Argus Libya UK LLP, a firm that explores commercial opportunities in Colonel Gaddafi’s country. Mr Ingram also makes up to £55,000 advising Electronic Data Services Ltd, a Ministry of Defence contractor; about £50,000 from SignPoint Secure Ltd, and up to £25,000 from Argus Scotland Ltd.

Yet MORE Corruption: MPs’ foreign visit rules breached

Hundreds of breaches of parliamentary rules by MPs who accepted free overseas trips from foreign governments have been uncovered by a BBC investigation.

More than 20 MPs broke rules on declaring hospitality in questions or debates after visiting locations such as the Maldives, Cyprus and Gibraltar.

The MPs – from Labour, the Tories and the Lib Dems – breached parliamentary regulations on more than 400 occasions.

One former standards watchdog says it shows MPs cannot regulate themselves.

VIDEO (2010) New Labour M.P. Stephen Byers -CASH FOR INFLUENCE SCANDAL

A FORMER Labour cabinet minister has boasted about how he used his government contacts to change policies in favour of businesses.

Stephen Byers, former trade and transport secretary, was secretly recorded offering himself “like a sort of cab for hire” for up £5,000 a day. He also suggested bringing Tony Blair to meet clients.

Mr Byers allegedly said he had brokered a secret deal with Lord Adonis, the current transport secretary, on behalf of National Express, which he said was seeking to abandon the loss-making East Coast rail franchise without incurring financial penalties.

According to the investigation Mr Byers said: “We agreed with Andrew (Adonis) … he would be publicly very critical of National Express” as long as terms which favoured the company were agreed.

Mr Byers also claimed clients would benefit from the “trump card” of his friendship with Lord Mandelson, the business secretary.

It is alleged he once telephoned Lord Mandelson to put a stop to “massively bureaucratic” food labelling regulations after he was contacted by Tesco. Tesco has denied the claim.

After the allegations emerged Mr Byers issued a statement saying he had “exaggerated” his claims, and that he had retracted them the day after the meeting in an email.

Lord Adonis and National Express have also denied the accusations. Lord Mandelson said he had “no recollection” of talking to Mr Byers about the issue

‘Thieves’ who think they’re above the law: Three Labour MPs charged with expenses fraud argue a court has no right to put them on trial

Three Labour MPs at the centre of the expenses scandal tried to wriggle out of a criminal trial yesterday.

Although charged at Westminster magistrates’ court with claiming a combined total of almost £60,000 in fraudulent expenses, they insisted the courts had no jurisdiction over them.

Elliot Morley, David Chaytor and Jim Devine argued that, under the 321-year-old Bill of Rights, they could be judged only by the House of Commons.

At first, they declined even to stand in the dock – until told in no uncertain terms by the judge that they must.

Labour donor Willie Haughey linked to cocaine city councillor

A BIG Labour donor faces allegations of “cash for favours” over his links to a disgraced council leader who confessed to using cocaine.

Willie Haughey, who has given £1m to Labour, is alleged to have benefited financially from a series of decisions involving the former leader of Glasgow city council. The allegations raise serious questions about the far-reaching influence of a party donor.

Haughey, a former director at Celtic football club, is one of Scotland’s most influential businessmen. Last year, he attended a private dinner in Glasgow where the guests included the prime minister and Jim Murphy, the Scottish secretary. In February, he donated a two-week holiday at his villa in Florida for a Labour fundraising dinner at the Glasgow Hilton, which Gordon Brown also attended.

(2010) New Labour’s Lord Paul -PARASITE REPAYS CONTROVERSIAL £38,000 to TAXPAYER

Lord Paul, a major party donor, was told by Scotland Yard last week that he will not face charges over his expenses claims.

However, he now faces a House of Lords investigation into his conduct by a subcommittee chaired by Baroness Manningham-Buller, the former head of MI5.

Political sources have revealed that Lord Paul – who is one of the country’s richest men and worth an estimated £500 million – has quietly and voluntarily repaid the £38,000.

The peer has admitted that he never spent a single night at an Oxfordshire flat that he registered as his main home while claiming money in overnight expenses for a London property.

Opposition MPs seized on the move last night as an admission that the expenses were not justified.

Graham Stuart, the Conservative MP for Beverley and Holderness, said: “Lord Paul has been shamed into returning the money he should never have claimed in the first place.”

Mr Stuart has written to Downing Street seeking answers to four questions about Lord Paul, including what led to the Labour peer being appointed to the Privy Council last year – a status which entitles the peer to use the words “the Right Honourable” in front of his name.

Three MPs and one peer to be charged over expenses

Three Labour MPs and one Tory peer will face criminal charges over their expenses, Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer has said.

MPs Elliot Morley, Jim Devine, David Chaytor and Lord Hanningfield will be charged under the Theft Act.

All four have said they denied any charges and would defend their positions robustly.

Revelations about MPs’ expenses emerged in May last year with the police going on to investigate a handful of cases.

Mr Starmer said there was “insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of a conviction” in the case of Labour peer Lord Clarke but said a sixth case remains under police investigation.

(1999) New Labour Party -REPRIMANDS ITS MEMBERS FOR PORNOGRAPHY

LABOUR’S 10,400 local councillors are being warned not to misuse their personal computers after incidents of accessing pornographic material.

The party’s ruling National Executive Committee (NEC) is expected to decide today to lift suspensions but reprimand two members of Shropshire County Council after a police investigation into porn on the Internet. Four Shropshire councillors were charged under the Computer Misuse Act but the Crown Prosecution Service later dropped the charges.

A confidential report into the Shropshire affair, obtained by The Independent, reveals the Labour’s inquiry panel found that Peter Taylor and Derek Woodvine were “not impressive” as witnesses and were “less than frank with their answers.”

(2010) New Labour Vote Rigging Again? Time to call in the British Army to Referee?

Vote rigging, electoral fraud, gerrymandering… call it what you will. Its perverse crime is the same what ever its moniker. It is a direct attack not only on the People but on everything we hold dear. It is a complete betrayal of trust and a devious, callous act that equates to tyranny. Welcome to fascist Britain, People.

This not an isolated incident. Please refer to the other (reported; the ones we know about) 15 entries on this site: http://eotp.wordpress.com/?s=Vote+rigging

It has now come the time to ask: are we playing a game where the opposition is cheating? Evidently, and frighteningly so, the proof suggests we are. What now, then? Do we stop playing the game called “democracy” and let the opposition not only win but also rub our noses in their victory? Do we continue playing, foolishly expecting the opposition to suddenly be fair and play by the rules?

This is a tough decision because this game called “democracy” is not simply a game to pass the time: this game is a game of life –OUR LIFE.

With that in mind we the People need to call upon a referee. We need a body to oversee elections and ensure the rules are adhered to and fair play is thus maintained. We the People need the British Army to monitor elections. Please vote on this proposition and pass it all to all your contacts:

In light of the weighty evidence confirming vote-rigging by the old-gang parties, should the British Army be called upon to monitor elections? http://polldaddy.com/community/poll/1837752/?view=results

Commission says unusually high number of last minute postal vote applications were made during byelection last year.

The Labour party has been warned by the Electoral Commission over its handling of postal vote applications after it investigated alleged irregularities in last year’s Glasgow North East byelection.

The commission said an unusually high number of last minute postal vote applications were made in Glasgow North East, with 1,800 forms submitted less than three days before the registration deadline – more than a quarter of the total number received.

A spot check of 300 of those forms by the returning officer’s staff found that in at least 100 cases these applications had been dated more than a week and in some cases over a month earlier.

Nearly half of the last-minute registrations came from Labour supporters, sparking allegations from the Scottish National party – first reported by The Guardian – that Labour had been deliberately hoarding postal votes to help its campaign.

In the event, Labour won by a landslide 8,111 votes, securing a 60% share of the vote and demolishing SNP hopes of a second victory in Labour’s Glasgow heartland.

The commission said Labour “did not comply” with a code of conduct that requires political parties to hand in every postal vote application within two days of receiving them, and had been asked to honour those rules in future.

Labour Utilise the “Racist” Cliché to Avert the People’s Opposition

Ministers were accused today of drawing up secret plans to increase immigration – and branding opponents of the controversial scheme ‘racist’.

A previously unseen joint Cabinet Office and Home Office report called for increases in foreign workers to meet the Government’s ‘economic and social objectives’.

But it also stated that the public would be opposed to the shift because of ‘racism’ and urged ministers to try to alter public attitudes towards immigrants.

The document, which was written in July 2000 and released under the Freedom of Information Act, outlined plans for a step change in the number of both high and low skilled migrants.

A draft version of the report emerged last week, but the full copy was finally released today.

In it, the authors warned: ‘Policy development is constrained by public opinion and the current tone of public debate.’

‘It is correct that public opinion favours relatively restrictive policies on immigration.’

Sections advising ministers to adopt a ‘clear strategy for public opinion and public debate’ to change views were removed from the published version.

Critics said the document showed ministers ‘deliberately rode roughshod’ over the public.

There was outrage last year after Andrew Neather, a former Labour speechwriter, revealed in a newspaper column that the loosening of controls in the early 2000s was part of a deliberate political agenda.

The ‘immigration boom’ of the last decade was engineered in part to change society by making it more multicultural, he said.

Harriet Harman’s political judgement has been called into question after it emerged that she once advocated the watering down of child pornography laws.

The Leader of the House of Commons and Minister for Women and Equality, who also sits on a Cabinet committee on young people’s welfare, is being touted as a possible successor to Gordon Brown, .

But she faces fresh criticism from Opposition MPs and campaign groups after The Daily Telegraph obtained documents showing that she called on ministers to make sexually explicit photographs or films of children legal unless there was evidence that the subject had been harmed.

At the time she made the official submission, she was a senior figure in a civil liberties organisation that wanted the age of consent to be lowered to 14 and incest decriminalised. It also defended self-confessed paedophiles in the press and allowed them to attend its meetings.

Last night Tim Loughton, the Shadow Children’s Minister, said: “Clearly there is a serious conflict of interest with the committees she sits on, who might want urgently to clarify her position on the exploitation of children for the sexual gratification of adults.

“It’s a shame that Miss Harman’s zeal for positive discrimination and all things politically correct among adults does not extend to the exploitation of children. Any child who is used for the sexual gratification of adults counts as an abused child and needs protecting.”

Blair’s think tank airbrushed link between crime and immigrants

links between mass immigration and some crimes were censored from a keynote government report, the Standard can reveal.

The report originally contained passages highlighting the risk that organised criminals had exploited higher migration.

But they were taken out of the published version, a milestone study that shifted Labour policy towards encouraging economic migrants.

Published by the Home Office in 2001, the 80-page report – Migration, A Social and Economic Analysis – has been criticised for painting too a rosy picture of the impact of immigration. The draft shown to the Evening Standard reveals it went through several changes that removed paragraphs that could have been seized upon by critics.

The most striking was the removal of the section headed “Criminal behaviour”, written as part of a chapter on the impact of migration.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Nigel Griffiths -SEX IN TAXPAYER-FUNDED OFFICE

A SENIOR Labour MP cheated on his wife in a midnight sex romp INSIDE the House of Commons.

Former minister Nigel Griffiths, a close friend of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, cavorted with a naked brunette in his Parliamentary office on Remembrance Day.

Then the shamed MP, 53, LIED about the shock breach of Commons Rules of Conduct, branding our story “outrageous.” Now he stands accused of bringing the House into disrepute.

Griffiths could not have chosen a more shameful date for his sordid House of Commons sex romp- Remembrance Day.

On the very day Britain was honouring its fallen heroes, Griffiths-a former Deputy Leader of the House-dishonoured the Mother of Parliaments and disgraced his privileged position.

The married MP, for whom the PM was best man, smuggled a brunette into his oak-panelled study and cavorted with the naked woman on his sofa.

The pair even recorded their hour-long encounter on camera.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Mazher Iqbal -DRUG OFFENCES

A WELL-KNOWN councillor and former leader in Sheffield’s war on crime has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.

Sheffield councillor Mazher Iqbal, a prominent member of the city council’s Labour shadow cabinet, was one of two men arrested in the Handsworth area on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug.

He has been released on police bail while officers carry out further investigations.

As an advisor for community safety before his party lost control of the council last May, Coun Iqbal was responsible for formulating the council’s approach to problems with drugs, violence and other crime.

Gordon Claims for His Second Home: Where is His First Home?

There has been a lot of tut-tutting about Gordon belatedly paying back £500 for the “questionable” painting of a summerhouse in the garden of his Fife home. So there should be, how did Gordon imagine it was that the summerhouse expenses claimed had been incurred “wholly, necessarily, and exclusively” in the performance of parliamentary duties?

He was able to do that using his second home allowance, but hang on a second, where is his first home?  He lives in grace and favour accomodation in Downing Street, he has use of the grace and favour Chequer’s mansion.  He pays nothing in rent or mortgage for those properties.  When he married he adroitly gave to Sarah the flat he bought cheaply in dubious circumstances from Robert Maxwell’s estate and Guido understands it is now rented out at a profit.  That leaves only his old Fife home.  It is clearly his real home, it is the only one he owns. Yet he designates it as his “second home” for expenses purposes.

That is just quite simply a dishonest and false claim made only to maximise the amount he can milk from the expenses system.  It allows him to live without paying for accommodation anywhere – if only he was so frugal with government expenditure – all at the expense of the taxpayer.  He taxes the shirts off our backs to pay for the ironing of the shirt on his back.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Quentin Davies -Champagne “Socialist” and PARASITE

This is the best exes revelation so far, on a par with Viggers’ Duck House.

Former Tory Quentin Davies – now a Labour defence minister – submitted a £20k invoice for renovations including a new roof on the ‘bell tower’ of his 18th century manor house.

The authorities didn’t pay the bill in full in the end. But he wrote a letter – after the exes scandal broke – saying he “emphatically” hadn’t intended to claim the money back.

Amazing.

UPDATE: The world and his wife are trying to get decent TV/camera footage of Frampton Hall, Davies’ mansion in Lincolnshire.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Graham Allen -PARASITE

Nottingham MP Graham Allen has a bit of a thing for dry cleaning. One receipt he put in was for £258. This of course would have nothing to do with his wife Allyson Stewart-Allen and her frequent TV appearances as a business commentator on CNN’s World Report. It’s not just the dry cleaning that Mrs Allen is benefiting from, according to Allen’s 08/09 ACA we have been paying for his newspapers every month. While it is understandable that our elected representatives need to be on top of the news, perhaps Mr Allen can explain why he is putting his wife’s Financial Times and Wall Street Journals on his expenses:

A few things I have noticed – Kevin Barron’s Parliamentary Expenses

I’ve not had time to study the expenses for Kevin Barron MP extensively yet, and as so much of them are blacked out it’s hard to get much information from them. For a start there are no addresses on any of the documentation, so it’s hard to see which invoices relate to his office, which to his Westminster flat, and which to his Maltby home.

A few things have caught my eye though. Take this invoice. And this one. Both for preparing his tax return. As a ‘normal’ memeber of society I have to pay an accountant myself to prepare my tax return, and I can’t even claim the VAT back. If you’re an MP though it’s different, and you can claim the whole thing as an ‘expense.’ Quite a big expense, as it happens.

This receipt for furniture is quite surprisingly large. It’s for £7109.79. That is a heck of a lot of furniture. I think is is ostensibly for his Dinnington office, but as the address is blacked out it’s hard to tell. If it is for the office it is obviously something of a TARDIS. It looks like a normal retail unit, but it must be much bigger, because £7k is enough to buy 46 decent desks and chairs at Ikea. Actually now I’ve looked further that £7k on furniture in March 2006 is especially startling as he also claimed £227 for office furniture in May 2004. I can’t locate the receipt for that furniture, but I understand that receipts for items under £250 are not needed. You’ll note on the claim form listing the furniture Kevin Barron’s common habit of claiming £200 in petty cash. This appears on a lot of his forms, and is un-receipted. In fact Kevin claimed £200 in ‘petty cash’ without receipts in April 2004, May 2004, June 2004,  July 2004October 2004,  November 2004,  December 2004, and in  January to March 2005 (£650). That’s every month he could have claimed it, and the maximum amount each time – apart from January to March where he claimed £50 more. It all adds up to £2050 of tax free cash with no receipts to back it up in one year. He seems to do much the same every year.

This one is even stranger. It’s not even an invoice, it’s just a letter from Dinnington Operatic Society asking Kevin Barron MP for a fee of £32. I’ve no idea what it is for as he has obliterated all the other information. It’s something he has claimed as necessary as part of his work as an MP, whatever it is.

Next we have this invoice from a computer company called K&R Consultants. I can find no record of a computer company called K&R Consultants on the internet, and sadly Kevin Barron has blacked out all the bits of the invoice that might help identify them. There is a K & R Systems listed in Yell as being in Skegness, so perhaps they’ve changed name slightly since then. I understand Kevin has a son called Robbie. Anyway, the interesting thing about this invoice is that it includes £39 for ‘changes and updates to website‘ As Kevin Barron doesn’t have a website I’m baffled as to what this might mean. The plot thickens though, because there is another invoice from the mysterious K&R Consultants in Match 2007, this time for the rather more substantial amount of  £953. This breaks down as £125 for the purchase of a domain and webspace, and £414 for the migration of ‘the old website’ to a new webserver and £414 for changes to the website. Sadly there is no mention as to which website this might be. I’ve never seen a website for Kevin Barron – can someone who has been around longer than me let me know if to their knowledge he has ever had one?

On the subject of websites – and remember Kevin Barron MP doesn’t have a website  – this invoice from December 2004 also caught my eye. It says it is for ‘combined renewal of domain name registration fees and web/email hosting services for” and then the rest is blacked out – including the cost. However, we can tell from the form Kevin Barron MP has filled in that the cost was £88.12.

(2009) New Labour Baroness Sally Morgan PARASITICAL THIEF

Sally Morgan, the former aide to Tony Blair, claimed £40,000 in expenses for her £1.1m London house by telling Parliament that her weekend country retreat was her main home.

Baroness Morgan of Huyton tells officials she stays at the house in Wandsworth, south-west London, “for the purpose of attending sittings of the House”.

The Labour peer, who is paid £135,000 a year for jobs outside politics, says her “main home” is an £845,000 cottage in Petersfield, Hants, one hour away from central London by train.

This has enabled her to claim £38,370 since 2005 for running the semi-detached London town house, which she bought for £1.1m in September 2003.

Peers whose “main residence” is outside London can claim £174 a night to pay for a second home or hotel room in the capital, with no need for receipts.

Yet Lady Morgan has repeatedly stated in official company documents that the London property is her “usual residential address”.

She shares it with her husband, John Lyons, who works full-time in London as a barrister and also cites it as his “usual residential address”.

(2009) New Labour Barry Gardiner MP – Disgraced aide called for the shooting of Zionists.

Gosh bearded Barry is at it again, over at Tory Bear’s place is the story about Barry’s aide.

You read it here first, but Barry Gardiner’s local paper – the Wembley & Kingsbury Times have picked up on the outrageous behaviour of his newly appointed staff member Joseph “Seph” Brown who caused outrage when he advocated the shooting of Zionists.

Particuarly damning are the quotes from people within Gardiner’s constituency and beyond:

“The appointment drew huge criticism from Jewish groups who immediately called for Mr Gardiner, who is a former chairman of Labour Friends of Israel, to sack him. Ken Sinclair, who is Jewish and chairman of Northwick Park Residents’ Association, said:

“Shooting Zionists, which reflects on all Jewish people, is disgusting and what respect I had for Barry Gardiner has gone. People should think very carefully when they utter words like these as at the moment with the BNP we do have a common enemy and we need to make an effort not to throw racist comments at each other.”

Keith Fraser, spokesman for Zionists Federation of Great Britain and Ireland, said: “I think it is pretty sad to have someone like him (Mr Brown) assisting one of our elected leaders. It is disgusting. I think by the time the next election comes around a lot of people will have forgotten but it should lose him (Mr Gardiner)votes from anyone with a modicum of reasonableness. “Anyone who wants to see an end to extremism and racism should not vote for him and it does not matter if you are Jewish, Muslim, Christian or anything else.””

(2009) New Labour Council Leader Bill Thomas -CHARGED WITH THEFT

Former Sandwell Council leader Bill Thomas today admitted a charge of theft as he appeared in court.

Magistrates were told three cheques worth a total of £1,300 had been paid out from a NatWest bank account belonging to the 69-year-old to close friend Gareth Hall between April 21 and 24 last year .

Thomas later reported to the bank that he did not know Hall and the cash was reimbursed, but following his arrest Thomas admitted to police he had known Hall for six years.

The Labour councillor and former headteacher, who was arrested last month and resigned immediately as council leader, had originally vowed to fight the charges before pleading guilty today.

He was handed a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay back the £1,300 in compensation and costs of £145.

The court was also told Thomas, of Viking Rise, Rowley Regis, was stepping down from his role as councillor for the Rowley ward.

(2009) New Labour “Justice” ministry had illegal staff as civil servants

traitors

The Ministry of Justice has been employing illegal foreign workers as civil servants despite previous warnings about its shambolic employment checks.

In February an employee at the ministry’s London headquarters was found to be working in Britain illegally. He was working in the same building as ministers despite not having a visa entitling him to work.

The official was an administrator in the Access to Justice department, which routinely handles sensitive data concerning legal aid funding. He was hired through an agency that should have carried out background checks.

The revelation will prove particularly embarrassing after the discovery earlier this year that Baroness Scotland, the attorney-general, had broken the law by employing an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper at her home. She, too, had used the services of an agency.

(2009) New Labour Party -GERRYMANDERING

Stalin Voting

Labour ministers deliberately encouraged mass immigration to diversify Britain over the past decade, a former Downing Street adviser has claimed.

Andrew Neather said the mass influx of migrant workers seen in recent years was not the result of a mistake or miscalculation but rather a policy the party preferred not to reveal to its core voters.

He said the strategy was intended to fill gaps in the labour market and make the UK more multicultural, at the same time as scoring political points against the Opposition.

Mr Neather worked as a speechwriter for Tony Blair and in the Home Office for Jack Straw and David Blunkett.

“Mass migration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural,” he wrote in in the London Evening Standard.

“I remember coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended – even if it wasn’t its main purpose – to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date.”

However, the baroness tells the Lords her main address is 400 miles away in a Glasgow apartment block. A close neighbour said she had not seen Goudie there for some time.

Ex-minister Tony McNulty faces suspension after claiming £14,000-a-year expenses for parents’ home

pigs[1]

A former Labour Minister who used £60,000 of taxpayers’ money to pay for his parents’ home faces public disgrace after an official inquiry found him guilty of abusing his Commons expenses.

A report into Labour MP Tony McNulty’s conduct by Parliament’s sleaze watchdog, due to be published this week, criticises him for claiming £14,000 a year for a ‘second home’ which was in fact his parents’ main home.

Insiders say he is likely to be forced to make a grovelling apology to the Commons. Some say his offence is so grave he may be suspended from Parliament and could even be ordered to pay back some or all of the cash.

He will also come under pressure by Labour chiefs to resign as MP for Harrow East in the hope that the party can hold on to the seat at the next General Election. Mr McNulty secured a 4,730 majority in 2005.

The former Employment Minister claimed the expenses under rules intended to help MPs fund a second home if they have to travel a long way to Westminster from their constituency. Yet the semi-detached home in Harrow, where Mr McNulty’s parents James and Eileen live, is just 11 miles from Westminster.

Mr McNulty lives with his wife Christine Gilbert, the £225,0000-a-year head of the schools’ inspectorate Ofsted, at their ‘main home’ in Hammersmith, West London, itself only three miles from the Commons. The couple have a combined income of more than £300,000 a year.

Labour wanted mass immigration to make UK more multicultural, says former adviser

traitors

Labour threw open Britain’s borders to mass immigration to help socially engineer a “truly multicultural” country, a former Government adviser has revealed.

The huge increases in migrants over the last decade were partly due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and “rub the Right’s nose in diversity”, according to Andrew Neather, a former adviser to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett.

He said Labour’s relaxation of controls was a deliberate plan to “open up the UK to mass migration” but that ministers were nervous and reluctant to discuss such a move publicly for fear it would alienate its “core working class vote”.

How the Baroness flouted tax law on cleaner

HOUSEKEEPER’S NEW CLAIMS:

She had no written contract

Tax wasn’t taken for 10 weeks

She wasn’t given any wage slips

Attorney General Baroness Scotland was last night facing fresh questions over employing an illegal immigrant as her housekeeper.

A Mail on Sunday investigation has discovered that Britain’s most senior lawyer flouted a series of basic regulations.

We can reveal that she failed to deduct income tax from Loloahi Tapui’s wages for the first ten weeks of employment. And Ms Tapui claims the Peer did not give her payslips or a formal employment contract.

The Baroness first faced calls to resign after it was disclosed that she had employed Ms Tapui, 27, without correctly checking her immigration status. She avoided the sack but was fined £5,000 by the UK Border Agency.

Now our inquiries have prompted fresh questions about her judgment.

Baroness Scotland wrote Ms Tapui’s weekly pay cheques to the housekeeper’s husband, solicitor Alexander Zivancevic, from her Coutts bank account.

Ms Tapui asked her to do this, saying she did not have a bank account, which should have made the Peer suspicious of her employee’s immigration status.

Ms Tapui also claims she was never given a written contract or wage slips, contravening the Employment Rights Act 1996.

She adds that the Peer only clarified her tax position after the MPs’ expenses scandal broke in May.

Official records show Ms Tapui had not had any tax deducted from her wages at the end of the financial year in April.

Labour use taxpayers’ money to fund trade union placemen

benefit-thieves

Labour is spending millions of pounds of public money employing more than 100 union activists across Whitehall.

Government departments are paying the salaries of dozens of union officials who act as shop stewards and do no work for the taxpayer. Some are earning more than £60,000 a year.

The Tories last night accused the Government of ‘bankrolling’ the trade unions – which, in turn, are the biggest funders of the Labour party.

Research by The Times has found that the Home Office alone employs 83 full-time and part-time union officials.

A total of ten departments have revealed that they employ 46 full-time and 87 parttime officials to work exclusively for the unions at taxpayers’ expense.

Their salaries cost between £150,000 and £4.5million per department. They are also given access to office facilities worth an estimated £1.2million each year.

Whitehall sources claim that the union officials also spend time working on ‘far-left political campaigns and making false claims about the Conservative Party’, although civil servants are bound by a strict code of impartiality.

MPs’ expenses: how they milked the system

benefit-thieves

MPs are required by Parliamentary rules to be “above reproach” when claiming expenses. But many found a way round the system, leading to widespread abuse.

Below we look at what they can legitimately claim and how some managed to maximise their income at the taxpayer’s expense.

What they can legitimately claim:

Under the additional costs allowance (ACA), MPs can claim expenses for the cost of running a second home for the purpose of fulfilling their parliamentary duties. In 2007/8, the last year for which complete figures are available, this stood at a maximum of £23,083.

The money can be spent on rent or mortgage interest payments. MPs who do not have a second home can claim for hotel rooms, for which they must submit a receipt.

Within the maximum ACA, MPs are allowed to claim up to £400 per month for food without the need for receipts and, until last year, up to £250 per claim in other categories without receipts.

This has since been lowered to £25. MPs can claim for utility bills, council tax, telephone bills, decorating, employing a cleaner, and even the purchase of furniture and electrical and household goods for their second homes.

The amount which MPs can claim for individual items is governed by the so-called ‘John Lewis List’. Personal items, such as toiletries and electric razors, cannot be claimed for.

The rules state that all ACA claims must be “above reproach” and there must be “no suggestion of misuse of public money”.

How they exploited the system:

A number of MPs used the allowance to pay for furniture and refurbishments for one property, before ‘flipping’ their second home designation to another property and claiming for improvements on that one.

Having used their taxpayer-funded expenses for renovations and repairs, some MPs then sold their homes at a profit. Some with constituencies in outer London bought second homes just a few miles from their main residence.

Others avoided paying Capital Gains Tax on the profit of the sale of their second home by telling the taxman it was their main residence.

A few MPs continued to claim expenses for mortgage interest on their second home even when the mortgage had been paid off.

Many MPs regularly claimed the maximum allowed for food. Others put in claims for utility bills, cleaning and repairs whilst avoiding the need to submit receipts by ensuring that the sums claimed were just below the £250 limit.

Others went on spending sprees towards the end of the financial year on order to reach their maximum ACA. Some bought furniture for their second homes but had it delivered to their main residence.

Among the frivolous and arguably unnecessary items claimed by MPs were radiator covers, pet food, manure and a duck house.

(2009) Labour Former Mayor Stewart Brown -PAEDOPHILE

**UPDATE** 25/8/09

A former mayor escaped jail today after being convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Stewart Brown, 60, admitted 21 offences of possessing indecent images of children and one of distributing pictures.

At Leeds Crown Court today he was given a nine-month prison sentence which was suspended for two years.

In 2006 he was mayor of Hebden Royd in West Yorkshire and was also a Labour councillor on Calderdale Council, the court heard.

At a hearing in July, Brown, of Nutclough, Hebden Bridge, admitted all the charges, some of which were said to relate to images of girls as young as three.

(2009) New Labour Cllr. Marc Scaife -”FOUL AND ABUSIVE”

WELSH Labour confirmed last night it was investigating a councillor and brass band chairman in connection with a “foul and abusive” phone message that has been posted on YouTube.

Carmarthen Labour councillor Marc Scaife, who has put his name forward for selection as the party’s parliamentary candidate in Carmarthen East & Dinefwr, left on Wednesday for a controversial tour of Libya with Burry Port Town Band.

The band have been criticised for continuing with the tour – part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi coming to power – after the release last week of the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing.

In the phone message, a man who identifies himself as Marc Scaife, uses highly offensive language to berate a 19-year-old member of the band who pulled out of the Libyan tour at a late stage, creating a perceived security problem.

The caller is heard saying: “Listen very f****** carefully. You are a f****** idiot…There’s a massive security risk because of you. Do you realise what’s actually going on? Is anything going on in your tiny little mind?

(2009). New Labour Cllr. Noel O’Brien -RACIST VIOLENCE

A FORMER Labour councillor is facing jail for assaulting a young woman traffic warden.

Noel O’Brien shoved Joanne Subocz and threw her hat on the road after she caught him parking illegally in Manchester city centre.

O’Brien, 58, shouted a torrent of racist abuse at Polish-born Miss Subocz , telling her ‘go back to your own country, we don’t want you here’.

Miss Subocz said the incident left her shocked and for weeks she was afraid to go back on the streets.

District judge Paul Richardson, sitting at Manchester magistrates’ court, convicted O’Brien of racially aggravated assault and bailed him for reports.

He told O’Brien: “This was an unpleasant piece of behaviour on a woman from another country doing her public duty. She was assaulted and bullied in a nasty fashion.

“If I don’t get a favourable report on you I will have no option but to impose a custodial sentence.”

(March 2009) Twenty More Outer-London M.P.s Profit from the McNulty Wheeze

a nice little earner

At least 20 other MPs have been caught in the ‘McNulty Triangle’ by claiming allowances for running second homes within easy commuting distance of the House of Commons.

The ‘name and shame’ list of MPs with outer-London seats who have claimed thousands of pounds in allowances has provoked outrage among their colleagues, particularly those with inner-city London seats who are barred under the rules from making similar claims.

The list of 20 shows that Tony McNulty is nowhere near the worst expenses claimer, coming a mere 16th in the list. McNulty, the MP for Harrow East, has claimed £52,598 in additional cost allowances on his parents’ house in Harrow, even though he lives with his wife Christine Gilbert in Hammersmith.

‘Blair covering up paedophile scandal?’

While British Prime Minister Tony Blair is under criminal suspicion in the “honours-for-cash” scandal that has rocked his Labour government, we have been told that there is an even more explosive scandal that Blair, up to now, has managed to hide behind the draconian British policy of issuing “D-Notices,” government orders that prohibit the British media from reporting on certain “national security” cases.

In 1999, an international investigation of child pornographers and paedophiles run by Britain’s National Criminal Intelligence Service, code named Operation Ore, resulted in 7,250 suspects being identified in the United Kingdom alone. Some 1850 people were criminally charged in the case and there were 1451 convictions. Almost 500 people were interviewed “under caution” by police, meaning they were suspects. Some 900 individuals remain under investigation. In early 2003, British police began to close in on some top suspects in the Operation Ore investigation, including senior members of Blair’s government.

However, Blair issued a D-Notice, resulting in a gag order on the press from publishing any details of the investigation. Blair cited the impending war in Iraq as a reason for the D-Notice. Police also discovered links between British Labour government paedophile suspects and the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution from Belgium and Portugal (including young boys from the Casa Pia orphanage in Portugal).

(2009) New Labour Party -RACISTS

The Labour Party has become embroiled in a race row after a prospective female councillor was allegedly told she was ‘too white and Jewish’ to be selected.
Elaina Cohen claims that Labour councillor Mahmood Hussain said he would not support her application for an inner-city ward because ‘my Muslim members don’t want you because you are Jewish’.
Mrs Cohen, 50, has made an official complaint about the alleged remarks made by Mr Hussain, a Muslim and former lord mayor of Birmingham.
She said: ‘I am shocked and upset that a member of the Labour Party in this day and age could even think something like that, let alone say it.
‘People should not be allowed to make racist comments like that. If someone in the party feels I cannot represent them because of my colour or religion, that’s ridiculous.
‘I felt particularly aggrieved because I have worked across all sections of the community, particularly with the Muslim section, and have been on official visits to Pakistan.’

(2009) New Labour M.P. Mark Hendrick -PARASITE

Mark Hendrick, a Labour MP, admitted “estimating” the amount of mortgage interest he paid on his second home when claiming on his taxpayer-funded parliamentary allowances.
Mark Hendrick, the MP for Preston, said he had found it difficult to work out how much the interest element of the mortgage on his London flat came to, and so tried to “work on an average for the year”.
Under parliamentary rules, MPs may claim for the interest on a second home but not the capital repayment.
Mr Hendrick regularly submitted claims for between £900 and £1,015 a month on his London flat, before “flipping” his second home designation to a house in his constituency, where his claims rose to £1,469.
When contacted by The Daily Telegraph, Mr Hendrick insisted that he had always acted in line with the rules but refused to disclose his mortgage documents to confirm his statement. He said he regularly provided the Commons fees office with copies of his mortgage documents. None appears on files seen by The Daily Telegraph.
Asked why his mortgage interest varied from month to month, Mr Hendrick said: “My mortgage was a capital plus interest mortgage. Therefore, payments included both, and I did not know until the end of the year from my statement exactly how much of the payment was interest, therefore I tried to work on an average for the year as a whole.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Anne Keen -PARASITE

A married couple dubbed ‘Mr and Mrs Expenses’ will face a formal sleaze inquiry over their use of Commons second home allowances.
Ann and Alan Keen, both Labour MPs, have come under criticism after it emerged that they were living full time in their designated “second home” near Westminster, while their designated “main” property a short commute away lay empty for up to a year.
The couple face repossession by their local council, and are also battling to evict squatters from the house in Mrs Keen’s constituency of Brentford and Isleworth in west London.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Margaret Beckett -PARASITE

Margaret Beckett tried to claim £600 for hanging baskets and pot plants as she lavished tens of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money on her constituency home whilst living in a grace and favour apartment in London.
The housing and planning minister found herself in trouble with the fees office when she submitted the claim in 2006, which covered “the supply of plants for hanging baskets, tubs, pots, planters, pouches and garden”, and another £711 for “labour and materials for painting of summer house, shed and pergola”.
An official in the department of finance and administration sent her a letter explaining that expenses claims had to be “wholly, exclusively and necessarily incurred to enable you to stay overnight away from your main home”. The official said that in respect of the work in the garden: “I find it difficult to conclude that it meets the requirements set out in the Green Book.”
The official cut £1,311 from Mrs Beckett’s total claim of £15,211.21 for work on her house, which drew this response from the minister: “We live in an old cottage – not the beautiful, strong, stone-built type, but the kind of thing you throw together for the farmworkers from the bricks you had when you knocked down the pigsty – and it requires a good deal of maintenance and repair.”
Mrs Beckett, 66, claimed second home allowances of £72,537 for her constituency home in Derby in the four years between 2004 and 2008, despite having no mortgage or rent to pay on the property.
Mrs Beckett earns £104,050, but during her spells as environment secretary and foreign secretary she earned £141,866.
During much of the time she was making the claims, she was living rent-free in Admiralty House, Whitehall, which enabled her to rent out her London flat.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Phil Hope -PARASITE

Phil Hope, the care services minister, is facing questions over how he spent nearly £10,000 a year refurbishing a small south London flat.
The Government minister claimed more than £37,000 in MPs expenses in just over four years on everything from a new kitchen, seven doors, and wooden flooring.
Mr Hope also claimed for a chest of drawers, a mattress, a television, a sofa, an armchair, a washing machine, three chairs, two bookcases, one coffee table, a wardrobe and a dining room table.
He also charged the taxpayer for a £120 new barbecue and £61 for gardening materials – even though Commons rules say that MPs can only claim for the cost of maintaining a garden.
Land registry plans show that the flat has access to a communal garden, which yesterday was empty with no plants, nor any sign of the barbecue.
Mr Hope bought the flat in Southwark, south London, in 1998, and remortgaged the property with Cheltenham & Gloucester in October 2002.
The Commons Green Book bans MPs from claiming “the capital cost of repairs which go beyond making good dilapidations and enhance the property”.
Mr Hope’s monthly returns for the additional costs allowance between 2004-05 and the middle of last year show that he was able to overhaul the flat completely.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Madeleine Moon -PARASITE

Madeleine Moon, the MP named “Furniture Parliamentarian of the Year”, spent thousands in furniture shops near her Welsh constituency house and claimed the money back on her London designated second home allowance.
Mrs Moon, Labour chairman of the House of Commons Furniture Industry Group, submitted at least 19 receipts totalling more than £4,000 for fixtures and fittings either bought in Wales or delivered to her house there.
MPs may use their Additional Costs Allowance to run a second home if they consider it necessary to perform Parliamentary duties. They are not permitted to make claims for their designated main residence.
After being elected MP for Bridgend, mid Glam in 2005, Mrs Moon bought a small flat in south London and designated it as her second home. But the records show that over the last four years she has regularly submitted claims for items bought in shops in Cardiff, Swansea and Bridgend. She also had furniture delivered to her seafront house in Porthcawl.
Among the furniture which Mrs Moon had delivered there was a £769 coral “triad” sofa from Marks & Spencer, and £683.56 in furnishings, including a bedside table and pillows, from Ikea. Both firms have outlets in London. She also bought a dining table and four chairs from a Swansea shop at a cost of £399, and spent £818.89 on a DVD player and television at Currys in Bridgend in July 2006.
Mrs Moon bought at least four sets of bedding in four years in shops in Wales and London. Mrs Moon said that she went to outlets such as Ikea in Cardiff because as a new MP in 2005 she did not know where to shop in London. Mrs Moon was buying items in Wales as late as May 2008, which she claimed were for her flat in the capital.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Barry Gardiner -PARASITE

Barry Gardiner, a former environment minister, made £198,500 profit from a flat funded and refurbished at taxpayers’ expense.
The Labour MP for Brent North bought a flat in Pimlico for £246,500 in 2003 and spent more than £11,000 renovating it – and claiming mortgage interest – before selling it for £445,000 in 2007, according to the Land Registry.
He spent £2,000 on decorators and a kitchen was installed. Other receipts covered plumbing and rewiring.
Although the rules say that “extravagant or luxurious” items should be avoided, the MP claimed £235 on bed linen from Harrods and £248 for a Christopher Wray light.
His council tax and mortgage interest costs of around £1,000 a month were also covered by expenses.
Cheaper items included a £65 “mixer tap” and an £80 gas hob. Parliamentary rules state that the additional costs allowance should not be spent on enhancing the property.
During the four financial years that he owned the flat, Mr Gardiner claimed £81,935 – £14 short of the maximum allowance.
It seems his own constituents are turning on him in this campaign to oust him

(2010) James Purnell -PARASITE

James Purnell, the Work and Pensions Secretary, avoided paying capital gains tax on the sale of his London flat after claiming taxpayer-funded expenses for advice from an accountant, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.
The Cabinet minister saved thousands of pounds after informing the parliamentary authorities that Manchester was his “main” home while the tax authorities considered London to be his “primary” residence. Mr Purnell claimed for a £395 accountant’s bill that included “tax advice provided in October 2004 regarding sale of flat” on parliamentary expenses which are intended to cover the costs of running an MP’s office.
It can also be disclosed that Geoff Hoon, the Transport Secretary, did not pay capital gains tax on the sale of his London home in 2006. Earlier this week, Gordon Brown criticised Hazel Blears’s similar failure to pay capital gains tax as “totally unacceptable”. Miss Blears, the Communities Secretary, wrote a cheque for £13,000 to cover the tax last week. She said yesterday that acting within the rules “doesn’t cut it with the public”.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Geof Hoon -PARASITE

Geoff Hoon has established a property empire worth £1.7 million after claiming taxpayer-funded expenses for at least two properties.
During his time as Defence Secretary and Leader of the House, Mr Hoon lived in a grace-and-favour apartment in Whitehall yet claimed costs for his home in Derbyshire.
Within months of losing his grace-and-favour apartment in 2006, Mr Hoon bought a new London townhouse. He then claimed that his Derbyshire home was his main property and designated the new house as his “second home”. This allowed him to fund the London property using the expenses system.
He now stands accused of exploiting the system by switching properties on his parliamentary declaration, enabling him to claim close to the maximum allowable amount most years. This is how he took advantage of the system:
At his Derbyshire family home between 2004 and 2006, Mr Hoon claimed thousands of pounds for renovations and refurbishments. In that time he redecorated and re-carpeted the property, which he has owned since 1986, and claimed for regular visits to DIY stores.
In 2005, Mr Hoon attempted to claim £1,199 for an LCD television — only to be told by the parliamentary authorities that he would receive a maximum of £750.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Ian McCartney -PARASITE

Ian McCartney, the former Labour Party chairman, spent £16,000 furnishing and decorating his designated second home but paid the money back two years later.
Mr McCartney’s claim, which was submitted in 2006, included £4,045 on furniture for a bedroom and lounge, £3,300 spent at B&Q, £1,328 on two settees, £817 on towels and kitchen ware, £699 on a mattress, £699 on a dining table and chairs, £662 on bedding and soft furnishings, £399 on a television, £249 on a vacuum cleaner and another £241 on soft furnishings. It also included £1,815.37 on decorating.
The House of Commons fees office informed Mr McCartney that the total claim of £16.274.10 exceeded the John Lewis list limit and it was reduced to £14,914.10. That included reducing a claim of £1,100 for a wardrobe to £600.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Gerald Kaufman -PARASITE

Gerald Kaufman charged the taxpayer £1,851 for a rug he imported from a New York antiques centre and tried to claim £8,865 for a television.
The former environment minister was asked to attend a meeting with officials from the parliamentary fees office to discuss details of another claim relating to £28,834 of work on the kitchen and bathroom at his London flat.
He told them that the work was necessary because he was “living in a slum”, though his second home, off Regent’s Park, is in one of the most fashionable areas of the capital. He was eventually reimbursed for £15,329.
On one occasion he asked a civil servant “why are you querying these expenses?” and on another threatened to make a complaint unless a dispute was settled by noon on the day in question. In one document, an official in the fees office noted that invoices Sir Gerald had submitted took him to “within 6p” of his annual limit. He also claimed £1,262 for a gas bill that was £1,055 in credit.
Between 2001 and 2008 the Manchester Gorton MP, one of the Labour party’s longest-serving members, claimed a total of £115,109 in additional costs allowances on his London flat, which he owns outright. In June 2006, he submitted a claim for three months’ expenses totalling £14,301.60, which included £8,865 for a Bang & Olufsen Beovision 40in LCD television. The maximum amount MPs are allowed to claim for TVs is £750.
On July 7, 2006 the fees office wrote to Sir Gerald to say: “I regret to inform you that this item falls within the not allowable category of luxurious furnishings, and as such has been rejected.”
He was paid £750.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Ben Champan -PARASITE

An investigation has been launched by Labour into the Daily Telegraph disclosures that House of Commons officials colluded with MPs to let them make inflated claims on their mortgages.
Parliamentary authorities, overseen by Michael Martin, the Speaker, gave secret permission for some MPs to over-claim for thousands of pounds in home loan interest in deals that led to the systematic abuse of the taxpayer-funded expenses system.
Ben Chapman, a Labour MP, admitted on Sunday night that he was allowed to continue claiming for interest payments on his entire mortgage after repaying £295,000 of the loan in 2002.
Over 10 months the arrangement allowed Mr Chapman to receive £15,000 for the part of the home loan which had been paid off.
He has so far refused to give back the money.
But Labour has now launched an investigation into the claims. The party’s chief whip had spoken to Mr Chapman and wpuld be seeking further clarification from the MP and the Fees Office, a Downing Street spokesman said.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Howard Stoate -PARASITE

Howard Stoate, the Labour MP for Dartford, submitted bills for thousands of pounds worth of DIY materials as he spent years doing up his second home.
The Labour MP for Dartford, whose taxpayer-funded flat in London is only 15 miles from his constituency home, claimed a total of £55,836 in second home allowances in four years, while having no rent or mortgage to pay.
More than £1,000 of the money was spent in B&Q, the DIY retailer, and hundreds more in other home supply stores such as Focus. Dr Stoate spent £4,520 on Everest replacement windows.
Dr Stoate, who worked as a GP before entering politics, is known in Parliament for his practical side. He is also a motoring enthusiast who built his own two-seater kit car.
Since the expenses scandal broke, Dr Stoate has pledged not to claim second home allowances in future and has returned his entire claim for the 2008-09 financial year, amounting to £11,000.
Between 2005 and 2008, Dr Stoate made claims for materials including paint, timber, pipes, shelves, sandpaper, dust sheets and cabling.
Almost all the receipts included in his expense claim are from stores near his constituency home in Dartford, Kent. One B&Q receipt, submitted in 2005, included £5.14 for MDF, £5.96 for stripwood, £24.76 for loft insulation, £8.23 for ready-made plaster, £2.78 for a hinge and £1.30 for a washer.
Two days later, at the same store, Dr Stoate bought a tin of undercoat for £4.98, Dulux gloss paint for £8.28, £4.48 wood stain, a cabinet knob for £2.98 and adhesive for £4.48. Another claim for a B&Q receipt in 2007 included £13.98 for a ball valve, 98p for assorted screws, £4.96 for two tap connectors and £15.78 for three lengths of 15mm tubing.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Paul Goggins -PARASITE

Mr Goggins shares the house in south-east London with Chris Bain, who is the director of the Catholic aid charity Cafod and a friend since university.
They have lived together for the past 11 years. For the past three years, Mr Goggins, the MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East, has designated the property as his “second home” and claimed almost £45,000 in expenses for it. He did not tell the Commons fees office that he shared it.
Mr Goggins claimed for the entire £600 a month mortgage interest, annual council tax and utility bills.
He said Mr Bain, who earned £76,000 a year, had contributed to the costs between 1998 and 2003, when they were not met by taxpayers. After being approached by The Telegraph yesterday, the men said the arrangement was no longer appropriate and they would repay a large amount based on a “thorough assessment” of how many nights Mr Bain stayed there.
In February 2008, Mr Goggins paid Mr Bain £3,829 for the installation of a new kitchen in the house. They said that the money had then been given to Mr Bain’s brother, Don, who carried out the work.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Paddy Tipping -PARASITE

MP Paddy Tipping has claimed £400 – the maximum allowance for food – almost every month for the past five years.
The claims were made throughout the year, including during parliament’s two-month summer holiday.
Speaking to the Evening Post he said: “That was the amount prescribed in the rules and I do go to parliament during the recess, not every day or as regularly when parliament is sitting.”
Other expenses included a £199.98 vacuum cleaner from Currys, £1,175 on external decoration and repairs at his flat in London as well as annual TV licences.
He also pays about £500 on mortgage interest payments on his flat in London.

(2009) New Labour M.P. David Chaytor -THIEF

Labour MP David Chaytor faces a fresh criminal probe after giving £5,000 of expenses to his daughter under an alias.
The Metropolitan Police is already considering whether to investigate the disgraced backbencher after he was caught pocketing £13,000 for a ‘phantom mortgage’
But it was revealed yesterday WED that he paid taxpayers’ money to ‘Sarah Rastrick’ for research work, who he later admitted was actually Sarah Chaytor.
The MP for Bury North, who was forced to announce he was quitting at the next election, claimed the cash under his generous office allowances.
A copy of Miss Chaytor’s birth certificate shows Rastrick as one of her middle names. The address and mobile phone number of ‘Sarah Rastrick’ also match Miss Chaytor.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Barbara Follett -PARASITE

Babrara Follet, one of Parliament’s richest MPs, has claimed more than £25,000 for a private police force to patrol near her four-storey home in London’s Soho.
The Minister for Culture, Creative Industries and Tourism made taxpayers shell out for the extra security when she claimed she felt unsafe after being mugged and followed by a stalker.
She earns £95,000 a year, while her husband, the thriller writer Ken Follett, is said to earn about £13million a year from his bestsellers.

(2009) Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg -PARASITE

Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has revealed he claimed more than £7,000 on expenses to renovate his constituency home.
He used the cash to pay for carpets, curtains, light fittings, garden maintenance and plastering work.
He also received over £12,000 for his mortgage on the property in Sheffield, nearly £1,700 for his council tax and £600 for his telephone bill.
MPs can claim up to £23,000 a year on expenses for costs associated with running a second home.

(2009) Lib-Lab-Con-men Investigated by Scotland Yard

A small number of MPs and peers will face criminal investigations into allegations they misused their expenses.

Scotland Yard said a joint assessment panel of senior detectives and prosecutors had decided full inquiries were necessary.

The police inquiries were expected to focus on politicians accused of deliberately misleading the authorities or claiming “phantom mortgages”.

The investigation will be conducted by officers from the Met’s Economic and Specialist Crime Command, overseen by Temporary Assistant Commissioner Janet Williams. It is understood the joint panel of experts will continue to consider a small number of other individuals.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “After consideration by the joint Metropolitan Police and Crown Prosecution Service assessment panel the Met has decided to launch an investigation into the alleged misuse of expenses by a small number of MPs and peers.”

(2009) New Labour M.P. Ian Gibson

Ian GIbson, the senior Labour MP, has offered to stand down at the next election over his expense claims after being approached by the Daily Telegraph.
Full details of questionable expenses he has made on a London flat will be disclosed in the newspaper tomorrow.
The MP had published his expenses on his website, but redacted crucial information which has been uncovered by the Daily Telegraph. The information would not have been released under Parliamentary plans to publish details of MPs expenses.
Dr Gibson’s announcement came within hours of another Labour MP, Ben Chapman, announcing that he will also stand down at the next election.
On Monday, the Telegraph disclosed how Mr Chapman had claimed £15,000 of expenses to which he was not entitled.
He confirmed that he would step down in a statement released on Thursday night.
Between December 2002 and October 2003, Mr Chapman deliberately claimed about £15,000 in expenses for interest on a part of the mortgage on his second home that he had already repaid.
He was given permission to do this by an official in the Commons fees office, in an arrangement that internal correspondence suggested was not unique.
Mr Chapman refused to consider paying back any of the money.

(2009) New Labour M.P. George Mudie -PARASITE

George Mudie, a Labour MP who has been one of Gordon Brown’s key attack dogs over the profligacy of bankers, claimed £62,000 in expenses for his London flat in four years, while having a mortgage of just £26,000.
Mr Mudie, the MP for Leeds East, claimed almost £17,000 from the taxpayer for furniture and renovations, including a dining room set he had delivered to his constituency home before claiming it on expenses for his designated second home in London.
Mr Mudie also bought a bedroom suite, a leather chair, an ironing board and a lavatory seat in Leeds. When the parliamentary fees office questioned why some of the items were delivered to the “wrong” address, he said he had taken them to London himself.
He was also reimbursed for a television set and sofa he bought in Leeds even though he had claimed for a TV and sofa covers he bought in London.
Mr Mudie, whose house in Leeds is up for sale, has been at the forefront of parliament’s attacks on bank bosses and hedge fund managers in recent months through his role as a member of the all-party treasury select committee.
However, the former education minister has repeatedly voted against greater transparency when it comes to MPs’ expenses.
Mr Mudie’s expense files show that between 2004 and 2008 he claimed £62,041 in second homes allowances on his flat in Westminster, where his mortgage interest repayments last year were £105 per month.
Between 2005 and 2006 he spent more than £12,000 on renovations and furniture for the London flat, including almost £7,000 for a Moben kitchen, £650 for carpets, £580 on repainting, £929 on tile work and £50 for a parking ticket incurred by his builder. He also claimed £249 for sofa covers, £299 for an LCD television set and £169.99 for a DVD player, all bought locally.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Michael Connarty -PARASITE

Michael Connarty (pictured left), a Labour MP, sold some of the contents of his London home to Jim Devine, a close colleague, before charging the taxpayer thousands of pounds for goods delivered to addresses in Scotland.
Mr Connarty sold his flat in the capital to Mr Devine, an MP from a neighbouring constituency, and left behind some of his furnishings and household items when he moved out.
Mr Devine agreed to pay Mr Connarty £4,000, including £1,000 for a sofa bed. Mr Devine then reclaimed the entire sum as expenses incurred at his designated second home.
Mr Connarty, the MP for Linlithgow and Falkirk East, then claimed thousands of pounds for goods for his new second home in London, including a £250 alarm clock and luxury stereo equipment.
He also claimed back the cost of two beds and two sofas, all purchased in Scotland, which were delivered to his constituency home in Falkirk and an address in Glasgow.
The Green Book, which dictates what is permissible under the Commons second homes allowance, states that MPs must only purchase items necessary for them to perform their duties and forbids anything that could be deemed a luxury.
Less than two weeks before his arrangement with Mr Devine, Mr Connarty submitted an expenses claim for £509.87, including £379.99 for a television and £69.99 for a Freeview box.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Kitty Ussher

Kitty Ussher, a junior minister, wrote a letter asking if she could put a full re-fit of her run-down Victorian house on her House of Commons expenses.
Her two-page note details 12 separate major repairs she hoped to have carried out on the home in South London, including the removal of a “bad taste” Artex ceiling.
Her use of allowances is highlighted on the third day of the Telegraph’s exposé of the lax expenses regime in operation at the House of Commons, which allowed MPs to claim thousands of pounds of tax payers’ money for costs most ordinary people are forced to bear themselves.
The records reveal that Miss Ussher, the MP for Burnley, contacted the Commons fees office within 12 months of being elected, with a detailed programme of work for the property she had already lived in for five years.
She wrote: “I am writing for guidance as to whether a number of essential repairs can be claimed under the Additional Costs Allowance.
“The basic situation is that this house was relatively cheap to purchase but requires quite a lot of work.”
She then listed 12 repairs which she hoped to have carried out on the taxpayer, including a bathroom which did not “function” and “peeling” walls in the shower room.”

(2009) New Labour M.P. Charlotte Atkins -PARASITE

Charlotte Atkins, a Labour MP, claimed more than £35,000 in renovations on her second home allowance including £20,000 for windows, £4,000 for the chimney, £9,000 for the bathroom and nearly £2,000 for the garden.
Over four years, Miss Atkins carried out extensive work on her detached Edwardian red brick constituency house in Leek, Staffordshire.
Her first major application to the fees office came in March 2005 when she claimed £4,000 for pulling down and rebuilding the chimney and £15,000 for window repairs and replacement.
When challenged, the MP said she had not realised the windows were rotten when she bought the property.
Officials agreed that the chimney was essential, but argued that the large scale renovations on the windows went “beyond the definition for allowable work set out in the Green Book”.
Notes of a conversation between the MP and the fees office said: “I think she accepted, but did not necessarily agree with, the idea that there was some benefit to her in the window replacement programme.
“I suggested that a 50/50 sharing of the costs might be appropriate. She neither agreed nor disagreed with this proposition.”
Miss Atkins’s memory of the conversation was slightly different: “We agreed what was acceptable under the Green Book – ie 50 per cent of the window repair – and I was entirely happy with that.”

(2009) New Labour M.P. Hilary Armstrong -PARASITE

A former government chief whip was told by the Commons authorities that allowing the Labour Party to pay for and run a computer at her taxpayer-funded home could make her “politically vulnerable”.
A Commons official added that she should be careful, “particularly in the run-up to an election”.
Hilary Armstrong, the MP for North West Durham, also claimed £3,100 towards the cost of repointing the gables and walls on her constituency home.
The Green Book rules state that MPs must avoid any suggestion “that public money is being diverted for the benefit of a political organisation”.
A note of a conversation with Mrs Armstrong written on fees office notepaper discloses that officials were uneasy about the former Cabinet minister claiming for the computer on her expenses. The official wrote on June 22, 2004: “I said that we were uneasy about her providing a desk and computer for party use in ACA home.
“It conflicted with the ‘wholly, exclusively + necessarily incurred’ requirement. Could make her politically vulnerable. Mrs Armstrong said party had no office in her constituency. What else could they do?”
The pair discussed “redesignating her North East home as her main property” so that she could install the computer at her own expense.
The official added: “Currently she has designated London as her main home. Mortgage on London is in her husband’s name. Change now would mean reallocating the mortgage. The risk was probably not huge, provided that she was careful particularly in the run-up to an election.”

(2007) New Labour Former Mayor Lawrence Bailey

CRIME 1: A former leader of Swansea Council has been banned from becoming a councillor for two-and-a-half years after indecent images were found on his computers.
Lawrence Bailey, 52, was found to have breached codes of conduct by the Adjudication Panel for Wales.
It also found he had broken rules by writing to a local newspaper using false names.
At least 70,000 “graphic” images were found on one computer.

____________________

CRIME 2: But the panel also found it contained 253 documents, mostly letters to the Swansea Evening Post.

“Although the police examination showed Mr Bailey as being the author, the documents purported to have originated from various residents of Swansea,” stated the report.

“In some cases the addresses did not exist or the postcodes did not match them, or the true residents had no knowledge of the letters.”
“Widespread practice”

In his own submission to the panel, Mr Bailey claimed that writing letters to the press under pseudonyms “was widespread practice in political life in Wales”.

(2009) Labour Cllr. Mohammed Najib -WANTED FOR ELECTORAL FRAUD

A FORMER councillor is wanted by police investigating election fraud.
Mohammed Najib was arrested last May after the local elections, it emerged yesterday.
But he failed to answer bail in September and is now believed to be abroad.
Calderdale’s first Asian councillor lost his Labour seat in Park ward last year after a 22-year stint.
It is believed Mr Najib is now living in Pakistan and inquiries are being made to trace him there.

(2009) Labour M.P. Elliot Morely -THIEF

Elliot Morley, the former environment minister, has become the 13th MP to step down in the wake of the expenses scandal.
Mr Morley, who claimed £16,000 over 18 months for a mortgage that did not exist, has confirmed that he will stand down at the next general election.
He had already been suspended by the Labour Party.
Scotland Yard is also considering whether to launch a criminal probe in the wake of his involvement in the MPs’ expenses scandal exposed by The Daily Telegraph.
The Scunthorpe MP made his announcement after arranging a meeting with his local party association.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Roger Godsiff -PARASITE

A backbench Labour MP claimed for bath mats, gardening equipment and more than £7,000 of property repairs on his office expenses.
Roger Godsiff was already claiming his maximum second home allowance to cover the interest on a large mortgage for his home in London when he made dozens of claims for ‘office sundries’ on his office expenses.
Receipts suggest the purchases were in fact for household items including a lawnmower, hedge trimmer, cushion covers and bath mats.
He also used office expenses for extensive roofing work, rewiring, replacement guttering and even clock repair at a property he owns in his Birmingham constituency.
The former bank clerk used the maximum Additional Cost Allowance (ACA) in the four years between 2004/5 and 2007/8 by claiming around £1,900 a month for the mortgage interest and around £400 a month for a secured loan on his detached house in Lewisham, south-east London, which he designated his second home.
The total monthly claims of around £2,300 were so large that the maximum ACA was not enough to cover all his annual repayments.
In total Mr Godsiff claimed £86,919 over four years in second home costs for the house which is in the area in which he grew up and began his political career and where his wife and family are listed on the electoral roll.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Doug Henderson -PARASITE

Doug Henderson, a former government minister, has claimed hundreds of pounds for telephone calls made from his family home which is more than four hours drive away from his constituency.
Doug Henderson, Labour MP for Newcastle North, sought more than £800 for landline calls he made in 2007/08 from the house he shares with his wife Geraldine in the fishing village of Anstruther, where he went to school.
The Scottish house is more than 150 miles away from Newcastle and more than an eight hour drive from his second home in London
When asked about the bills, Mr Henderson said he lived and worked in Anstruther, but was “in Newcastle very regularly, nearly every Friday and some weekends”.
He said his presence in Fife was known about in the constituency because the Liberal Democrats “put leaflets out telling everybody”.
In an analysis by The Sunday Telegraph, which assessed MPs’ value for money based on how much work they did in parliament compared to their overall expenses, Mr Henderson came out as one of the worst for value-for-money.
He attended parliament for about half of all votes, spoke in just eight debates and submitted 23 written questions in 2007/08, but claimed a total of £151,860 in expenses, including travel, home, office and staffing costs.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Glenda Jackson -PARASITE

Glenda Jackson, the Labour MP for Hampstead and Highgate, has repaid more than £8,000 in expenses she wrongly claimed towards publication of an annual report.
The former double Oscar winning actress had claimed £8,850 to cover the cost of the publication which was called First Magazine.
Ms Jackson agreed to pay back the money because the publication carried a reference to the Labour Party in breach of the rules
The MP last night said she had not proof read the document properly when the document was first produced and had missed the single reference to the Labour Party at the end of the magazine.
“I failed to proof read a line at the very end of the document which mentioned the party and I have paid back the money.”
Several of Ms Jackson’s other claims relate to payments to the Labour Party.
In March 2006 she claimed £7,500 in office expenses from the taxpayer to pay her local party for the “provision of constituency services during 2006″.
The payment, which was claimed on her Incidental Expenditure Provision (IEP) covered the cost of “constituency contacts, office facilities, member’s surgery support, administration and the downloading of the electoral register”.

(2009) New Labour M.P. John Smith -PARASITE

An MP claimed £57,955 in second home expenses in four years without submitting a single receipt.
John Smith, a Labour backbencher, took advantage of generous allowances to claim an average of £14,488 a year – more than the average salary of a minimum wage worker– without providing evidence of any spending.
When he eventually made a claim backed up by a receipt, it was for home furnishings including a vase, a frying pan, a bath robe, beaded drapes and poster art.
Until April last year, MPs were not required to submit receipts for claims up to £400 a month for groceries, £250 for utility bills, £250 for telephone bills, £250 for cleaning, £250 for service and maintenance and £250 for repairs and insurance.
The MP for Vale of Glamorgan, in south Wales, claimed close to the maximum Additional Costs Allowance (ACA) in the four years between 2004/5 and 2007/8 to cover the expense of renting a small flat in London.
In addition to monthly rent of up to £560, he claimed the full £400 for groceries and several hundred pounds across the other categories every month.
In total the 58-year-old claimed £86,675 in ACA over the four years, of which £57,955 was for costs at his London address below the threshold for which evidence was required.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Denis Skinner -PARASITE

Dennis Skinner, the firebrand Labour MP, claimed more than £1,000 to cover the fees of accountants who helped him prepare his self assessment tax forms.
Mr Skinner, dubbed the beast of Bolsover, first claimed £528.75 to pay the bill of the accountancy firm Brayhaw Morey in July 2004 under the Incidental Expenditure Provision (IEP) designed to cover office expenses.
The invoice submitted along with the claim states: “Professional services in connection with preparation and submission of your ‘self assessment’ tax return for the year ended 5th April 2004 together with calculating all tax liability, corresponding with HM Inspector of Taxes on your behalf and generally advising you accordingly.”
In July 2006 Mr Skinner claimed the same amount for identical services provided by the firm.
He paid the slightly lower sum of £470 in 2005 in return for the same professional service.
The MP on Saturday night said he had checked with the fees office before lodging the claims for the work.
MPs are obliged to pay tax on any reimbursed fees paid to accountants. The Inland Revenue is believe to be investigating whether up to 40 MPs including several Ministers have fulfilled this particular obligation.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Natascha Engel -PARASITE

Natascha Engel, Labour MP for North East Derbyshire, charged the taxpayer for copies of a DVD of her maiden speech to Parliament and a copy of a novel by an acclaimed German writer.
Miss Engel, a Labour backbencher, claimed £117.50 in October 2005 to pay for ten copies of the DVD from the Parliamentary Recording Unit showing her first speech since being elected in that year’s General Election.
Miss Engel, who has said she wants her constituents to judge whether her expenses are justified, also claimed £12 for a copy of Thomas Mann’s Nobel Prize winning novel, The Magic Mountain, set in a tuberculosis clinic in the Swiss Alps before the First World War.
In November 2005 she charged the taxpayer for a set of socialist history posters to decorate her office. Miss Engel claimed £28.95 on her office expenses for the material, bought by mail-order from the People’s History Museum in Manchester.
They included reproductions of historic posters, including “Women vote Labour”, “Labour Clears The Way” and “Women Workers”.
She also claimed for a set of May Day greetings cards to celebrate workers’ day and a set of cards by the 19th century artist Walter Crane, entitled “Solidarity of Labour”.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Frank Cook

An MP used his expenses to claim for a £5 donation he made during a church service to commemorate the Battle of Britain.
Frank Cook, a Labour backbencher, sought reimbursement on his office expenses after the memorial service in his constituency town of Stockton-on-Tees. It was rejected by the parliamentary fees office.
The controversial claim was one of a series made by MPs that can be disclosed today, including reimbursement for carpets bought during a trip to India, chocolates bought by a former party leader and office expenses used for household items such as bath mats.

(2009) New Labour M.P. John Austin -PARASITE

A Labour MP claimed more than £10,000 in expenses for the redecoration of his London flat, which was 11 miles from his main home, before selling it for a profit.
John Austin, the MP for Erith and Thamesmead, made £30,000 on the sale. He then bought a new flat 1.5 miles away, claiming £10,000 in stamp duty and charges and £15,000 on a bathroom, kitchen, carpets and appliances. Mr Austin is retiring at the next election. His claims represent one of the clearest cases of an MP profiting by “flipping” their expenses claims to a new second home.
They also highlight the fact that MPs just outside London can claim as much as those in the Scottish highlands.
In 2005, Mr Austin claimed £9,520 for a new bathroom, £1,900 for repainting and £750 for other repairs at the first flat, in Southwark, south-east London, which was designated as his second home. He also claimed up to £535 per month for the interest on his mortgage.
The MP, a member of the socialist Campaign group, then sold the flat for £140,000 in March 2006. He had bought it for £110,000 three years earlier. He then bought a £225,000 replacement about 1.5 miles away, and designated it as his second home. This allowed him to claim about £10,000 in stamp duty and other charges. The two flats are about 11 miles from his constituency house in Belvedere, Kent, which he designates as his main home.
After moving in to his new flat, Mr Austin informed parliamentary authorities that he would need to increase his mortgage — the interest on which is paid by taxpayers — to fund work on his new flat. Remortgaging is only permitted for essential maintenance work. An official agreed to Mr Austin’s remortgage. He began claiming £760 per month in mortgage interest.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Ian Austin -PARASITE

A Labour whip split a claim for stamp duty on buying his second home in London into two payments and tried to claim it back over two financial years.
Ian Austin completed the purchase of the Waterloo flat on March 31 2006 but submitted claims for the stamp duty in two separate amounts: £6,770 on March 28 and £1,344 on April 3.
This allowed him to claim the majority of the money under his second home allowance for the financial year 2005-06. In total, he received £21,559 — £75 below the limit — that year.
His claim for the remaining £1,344 was turned down by the parliamentary fees office.
However, the Dudley North MP was allowed to claim the legal costs associated with the move in his 2006-07 expenses. In that financial year, he went on to claim £22,076 — £34 short of the maximum.
Mr Austin also “flipped” his second home designation weeks before buying the £270,000 flat across the Thames from Westminster.
The assistant whip is one of Gordon Brown’s closest allies and worked for him as an adviser in the Treasury before he was made an MP in 2005.
When Mr Brown became Prime Minister in 2007, Mr Austin was appointed as his parliamentary aide before being moved to the role of Minister for the West Midlands last year. He was closely connected to Damian McBride, the adviser who left Downing Street last month after he sent emails suggesting possible smears for top Conservatives.

The official added: “Currently she has designated London as her main home. Mortgage on London is in her husband’s name. Change now would mean reallocating the mortgage. The risk was probably not huge, provided that she was careful particularly in the run-up to an election.”

(2009) New Labour Michael Martin

He had faced resignation calls from MPs of all parties, but in the end the only person who can claim responsibility for the demise of Michael Martin is Michael Martin himself.
His shambolic, undignified and at times bullying performances in the Commons over the past week made him the recipient not only of parody but also of contempt.
By attacking MPs who dared to question his response to the scandal of parliamentary expenses, the Speaker, who held the power to find a solution to the crisis, instead became a large part of the problem.
And after being mauled in the Commons by MPs of all parties on Monday afternoon, he finally accepted he was finished as he spent that night in his office, taking calls from long-standing friends and advisers who urged him to quit while he still had a shred of dignity left.
By the time he made his resignation statement, all the fight had been knocked out of him. The first Speaker to be forced out of the job for 314 years could muster just 76 words to mark the occasion, saying he was quitting to restore the “unity” of the House.
Mr Martin, 63, whose gruff Glaswegian accent and shop steward’s style had earned him the nickname of “Gorbals Mick”, had been a controversial figure from the day of his appointment in 2000, with accusation of bias towards Labour in parliamentary debates.
In recent years he had faced repeated questions over his expense claims, in particular the £1.7 million refurbishment of his official residence in parliament and a series of “official” trips to exotic foreign destinations with his wife Mary.

(2009) New Labour "Justice" Secretary Shahid Malik -FILTHY PARASITE

“I think this is a bit of a non-story to be honest. I have absolutely nothing to apologise for. I have done nothing wrong. I have not been at the periphery of the rules. I haven’t abused the rules, I have been absolutely at the core of the rules.” -Shahid Malik
Justice Minister Shahid Malik has claimed thousands of pounds in taxpayer allowances on his second home while renting his main home, it has been reported.
The Daily Telegraph said Mr Malik had run up the highest expenses claim of any MP, claiming second home allowances of £66,827 over three years on his house in London.
At the same time the paper claimed that his main home was a three-bedroom house in his Dewsbury constituency which he had secured for a discounted rent of less than £100 a week.
Mr Malik’s second home claims were said to include £2,600 for a home cinema system – which was cut in half by the Commons Fees Office – £730 for a “massage chair”, and £65 for a court summons for the non-payment.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Andy Burnham -PARASITE

Andy Burnham, the Culture Secretary, was involved in a secret eight-month battle with the fees office after making a single expenses claim for more than £16,500 to buy and renovate a new London flat.
The authorities finally agreed to pay the money — after rejecting the claim on three separate occasions — following a series of increasingly desperate pleas from the minister and his wife.
Shortly before Christmas 2005, Mr Burnham even wrote to the fees office that he “might be in line for a divorce” if reimbursement for his expenses was not forthcoming within days.
In July 2007, Mr Burnham attempted to reclaim the costs of buying a £19.99 bath robe from Ikea.
The purchase was made the fortnight after he joined the Cabinet and the claim was later turned down by the fees office. Mr Burnham said last night that the claim was a “genuine oversight”.
A detailed analysis of Mr Burnham’s complicated claims suggest that he had an unusual arrangement allowing him to use a substantial windfall earned from a previous flat rented for him by the taxpayer — to fund the purchase of a new property.
The case casts light on the previously private dealings between the fees office, which authorises expenses, and MPs. Claims are routinely rejected leading to protracted handwritten correspondence and telephone calls between officials and members of Parliament.

(2009) New Labour "Lord" Peter Mandleson -PARASITE

Less than a week after announcing he was standing down as an MP, Peter Mandelson billed taxpayers £3,000 for work on his constituency home in Hartlepool.

He renovated the terrace house in 2004 and sold it the following year, making a profit of around £136,000.

Parliamentary rules state that MPs can carry out ‘necessary repairs to make good dilapidations’ but cannot claim for anything that will ‘enhance the property’ and increase its value.

______________________________________________________________________________________________
Peter Benjamin Mandelson, Baron Mandelson of Foy in the county of Herefordshire and Hartlepool in the county of Durham, Privy Councillor (born 21 October 1953) is a British Labour Party politician who is the current UK First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and Lord President of the Council.

Mandelson served as Member of Parliament for Hartlepool for twelve years, a seat he vacated in order to become a European Commissioner. When he returned to the Cabinet in 2008, he was created a life peer.

In 1971 left the Labour Party Young Socialists (LPYS) to join the Young Communist League, then the youth wing of the Communist Party of Great Britain.

He was a delegate in 1978 to the Soviet-organised World Festival of Youth and Students in Havana, Cuba, with Arthur Scargill and several future Labour cabinet colleagues.

He worked as a television producer at London Weekend Television on Weekend World, forming an enduring friendship with John Birt, then LWT’s Director of Programmes, before being appointed as the Labour Party’s Director of Communications in 1985. Mandelson was able to secure close friendships within the Labour Party due to uncle Alexander Butler who had worked alongside many important Labour politicians during the 1960s.

He ceased being a Labour Party official in 1990, when he was selected as Labour candidate for the safe seat of Hartlepool. He was elected to the House of Commons at the 1992 general election.

After the election, Blair appointed him as a Minister without Portfolio in the Cabinet Office, where his job was to co-ordinate within government. A few months later, he also acquired responsibility for the Millennium Dome, after Blair decided to go ahead with the project despite the opposition of most of the Cabinet (including the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport who had been running it). Jennie Page, the Dome Chief Executive was abruptly sacked after a farcical opening night.

In December 1998, it was revealed Mandelson had bought a home in Notting Hill in 1996 with the assistance of an interest-free loan of £373,000 from Geoffrey Robinson, a millionaire Labour MP who was also in the Government, but was subject to an inquiry into his business dealings by Mandelson’s department. Although Mandelson alleged he had deliberately not taken part in any decisions relating to Robinson, he knew he should have declared the loan as an interest, and he resigned on 23 December 1998. Mandelson had also not declared the loan to his building society (the Britannia) although they decided not to take any action, with the CEO stating “I am satisfied that the information given to us at the time of the mortgage application was accurate.”

In January 2001, it was revealed Mandelson had phoned Home Office minister Mike O’Brien on behalf of Srichand Hinduja, an Indian businessman who was seeking British citizenship, and whose family firm was to become the main sponsor of the “Faith Zone” in the Millennium Dome. At the time, Hinduja and his brothers were under investigation by the Indian government for alleged involvement in the Bofors scandal. On 24 January 2001, Mandelson resigned from the Government for a second time, insisting he had done nothing wrong.

On 22 November 2004, Mandelson became Britain’s European Commissioner for Trade. On 22 April 2005, The Times revealed that Mandelson had spent the previous New Year’s Eve on the yacht of Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, which is at the centre of a major EU investigation, although it did not allege impropriety.

On 3 October 2008, as part of Gordon Brown’s cabinet reshuffle, it was announced that Mandelson would return to government in the re-drawn post of Business Secretary, and would be made a life peer, entitling him to a seat in the House of Lords. On 13 October 2008 he was created Baron Mandelson, of Foy in the county of Herefordshire and Hartlepool in the county of Durham.

In October 2008 Mandelson was reported by the press to have maintained private contacts over several years with Russia oligarch Oleg Deripaska, most recently on holiday in August 2008 on Deripaska’s yacht at Taverna Agni on the Greek island of Corfu. News of the contacts sparked criticism because, as European Union trade commissioner, Mandelson had been responsible for two decisions to cut aluminium tariffs that had benefited Deripaska’s United Company RusAl.Mandelson denied that there had been a conflict of interest and insisted that he had never discussed aluminium tariffs with Deripaska

On 14 January 2009 the Mail on Sunday asked how he had financed the purchase of a villa in London. Public records showed that he had paid £2.5 million for the property in 2006: almost 16 times his then salary as an EU commissioner. Reports at the time said that he had sold his shares in an advertising agency and received a large legacy from his mother, but Companies House records showed that the shares were not sold until 2007, while a copy of his mother’s will revealed that he had been left only £452,000.

In a reshuffle on 5 June 2009, Lord Mandelson was appointed to the honorific office of First Secretary of State, making him Deputy Prime Minister in all but name, a controversial position for an un-elected politician. Mandelson was also appointed to the position of Lord President of the Council. It was also announced that he would continue in his role as Business Secretary, with much expanded powers.

(2009) New Labour David Miliband M.P. -PARASITE AND SUPPORTER OF TERRORISM

David Miliband’s defence of terrorism is a disgrace

The Foreign Secretary’s remarks to the BBC Radio 4 Great Lives programme condoning terrorism in some circusmstances are an absolute disgrace, and should be disowned by the Prime Minister. The Radio 4 interview focused on the life of South African Marxist Joe Slovo, a leading member of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the military wing of the African National Congress (ANC). The ANC’s bombing campaign included the targeting and killing of civilians.

As The Daily Mail reports, when asked by presenter Matthew Parris whether terrorism can ever be justified, Miliband stated:

“Yes, there are circumstances in which it is justifiable, and yes, there are circumstances in which it is effective.”

“The importance for me is that the South African example proved something remarkable: it looked like a regime that would last forever, and it was blown down.”

“It is hard to argue that, on its own, a political struggle would have delivered. The striking at the heart of a regime’s claim on a monopoly of power, which the ANC’s armed wing represented, was very significant.

Perhaps this is what Mr. Miliband supports?

…surely it is this what Mr. Miliband sees as “justifiable”?

Miliband and the Establishment’s hero:  convicted Communist terrorist Nelson Mandela

Take a look at what the “glorious” people of the “Rainbow nation” did to innocent farmers. Is that what Mr. Miliband regards as “justifiable”? (Please brace yourself for these extremely disturbing images)

_________________________________________________________________________________

David Miliband’s spending on his constituency home was so extensive that even his gardener questioned whether some of the costs were strictly necessary.

Over five years, Mr Miliband spent just under £30,000 on repairs, decoration and furnishings for his £120,000 home in South Shields.

On at least one occasion, he exceeded the maximum allowable amount and had his claim cut back. Mr Miliband, the current Foreign Secretary, spent up to £180 every three months on his garden, prompting his own gardener at one point to ask whether all the work was required.

In April 2008, on the bottom of a receipt for £132.96, the gardener wrote: “Please let me know if you would like pots making up at front and back this year, given the relatively short time you’ll be here and their labour-intensive nature.”

Under the rules, MPs may claim for basic garden maintenance, but not: “plants, shrubs, flowers, hanging baskets or other decorations”.

In 2005, Mr Miliband fell foul of rules which prohibit MPs from claiming any costs relating to their children. His application for reimbursement for a £199 pram and £80 in “baby essentials” were both rejected.

In another breach of the guidelines, Mr Miliband regularly claimed about £89 for undisclosed “household items”. In 2006, the then-environment secretary was told that he needed to provide details of his claims, and that part of his payment would be held back until he did. He wrote back withdrawing the claims, saying: “I am afraid I have not been able to lay my hands on the receipts for the items so we had better leave the payment as you have made it. I will keep a closer guard of the receipts in future.” Mr Miliband failed to resubmit his claim, even when the fees office wrote back advising that he did not need to provide receipts, but just to supply details of the items. He was not asked to repay his previous claims over several months, or provide information about the items that he had bought at taxpayers’ expense.

During the five years covered by the receipts, Mr Miliband successfully claimed for a £412 hand-crafted chair, a goose-down duvet and chenille throw from Marks & Spencer, a £450 “Gatsby” John Lewis sofa, and a washing machine and tumble dryer, some of which were ordered in the name of his American wife, Louise, a concert violinist.

(2009) New Labour Ministers "on Suicide Watch"

Three Labour MPs are said to be terrified that the release of their expenses claims will expose them as adulterers and financial cheats.
Four ministers are also understood to have warned party whips they might have to resign for abusing the system, when MPs’ receipts are published before the summer recess in July.
The three unnamed backbenchers are said to have been placed on ‘suicide watch’ by Labour whips, who fear they might break down when the details of their excesses come out.
Two are understood to have had extra-marital affairs with other members of Parliament.
Not only are they believed to have shared hotel rooms during annual conference get-togethers and party away days but also to have double-claimed for the rooms on their expenses.
If both MPs have claimed for the bill they will be branded frauds as well as love cheats when journalists and freedom of information campaigners sift through their receipts.

(2009) New labour M.P. Margaret Moran -PARASITE

The Labour MP who renovated three properties at taxpayers’ expenses owns a fourth home in Spain, where she attempted to block villagers’ access to their own houses.
Margaret Moran bulldozed a pathway across her holiday property in Granada and put up gates, to the annoyance of her neighbours.
However, a judge said the access was a public right of way and ordered her to reopen it.
Miss Moran was accused of breaching parliamentary rules by pinning a notice to her gatepost using official House of Commons paper.
When the story appeared in the British press, Miss Moran contacted leading media solicitors then claimed their £881.25 bill back on her office expenses.
Her files, seen by The Daily Telegraph as part of its investigation into the MPs’ expenses scandal, also show that she used her office fund to pay for £1,104.34 of furniture for her house.
Miss Moran, the MP for Luton South, has become the focus of public anger at the use of politicians’ allowances after this newspaper disclosed how she used public money to pay for three properties by “flipping” her nominated second home.
First, she spent £7,961 on a kitchen, carpet and bed for her flat near Westminster, then changed her address to her constituency home in Luton and spent £8,585 on her garden, bathroom, bedding and decorating. Finally she switched again to name her second home as her and her husband’s house in Southampton, where she claimed £22,500 on dry rot.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Alistair Darling -PARASITE

The taxpayer contributed almost £10,000 to the costs of Alistair Darling buying a new London flat after the Chancellor changed the official designation of his second home.
Mr Darling has changed where he considered his “main home” to be located four times in four years.
This has allowed him to claim thousands of pounds towards the costs of his family’s home in Edinburgh – and buy a flat in London that has been furnished and mortgaged at taxpayers’ expense.
Mr Darling claimed £2,260 on his taxpayer-funded expenses to cover stamp duty when buying the flat. In 2004-05, Mr Darling, the then transport secretary, claimed that his main residence was a small flat in Lambeth – owned by Lewis Moonie, a fellow Labour MP who was later ennobled.
The 1930s flat was previously owned by Gordon Brown, who sold it to Lord Moonie in 1992.
Lord Moonie is under investigation after the “Lords for hire” scandal in January, when an undercover reporter taped him allegedly offering to discuss a piece of legislation with a local government minister for £30,000.
Mr Darling paid rent to Lord Moonie for a bedroom in the Lambeth flat – allowing him to claim that his family house in Edinburgh was his “second home”. However, after the 2005 general election, Mr Darling apparently decided to enter the London property market himself.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Douglas Alexander -LEECH ON THE TAXPAYER

Douglas Alexander, the International Development Secretary, spent more than £30,000 doing up his constituency home – which then suffered damage in a house fire.
Declaring that he had been “under-insured,” Mr Alexander sought permission from the fees office to kit out a new home at taxpayers’ expense. He stayed there for six months while his 120-year-old house was being repaired.
Not exactly short of a few bob, is he?:
Douglas Alexander
Job: Secretary of State for International Development
Salary: £141,866
Sample expenses for second home in Renfrewshire April 2007 to March 2008
Food: £1,340
Utilities: £1,168
Telephone and communications: £365
Cleaning: £0
Service/maintenance: none
Repairs/insurance: £1,607
Other: (includes) bedding £550, CD player £69, painting £210, carpet £830, chimney relined £928, garage doors £420

(2009) New Labour M.P John Prescott -PARASITE

John Prescott had mock Tudor beams attached to the front of his house and put the bill through on his Parliamentary expenses.
He also had his lavatory seat repaired twice in the space of two years at taxpayers’ expense.
The former deputy prime minister, who has admitted suffering from bulimia, claimed the maximum possible amount for food – £4,800 a year.
After it emerged that he was not paying council tax on one of the four properties he stayed in, Mr Prescott rang the fees office to check if he was breaking any rules but they told him not to worry.
It shows how, while sticking to the regulations, MPs are still able to claim generous amounts for groceries and furnishings.
Mr Prescott, a former ship’s steward, named his grace-and-favour flat at Admiralty House as his main residence. It was there that he conducted an affair with Tracey Temple, his assistant private secretary.
He also paid peppercorn rent for a two-bedroom flat in Clapham that was owned by the RMT rail union, and had free use of Dorneywood, the country estate where he was photographed playing croquet while supposedly in charge of the country.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Jack Straw -PARASITE

Firstly, we would do well to recall the crimes of Jack Straw’s family members. Crime is obviously inherent in his family:

His druggie son: http://tinyurl.com/psp7qh
His sex-criminal brother: http://tinyurl.com/pymlk7
Also, Jewish Straw said: “The English are not worth saving as a race.” Evidence (para. 3)
_________________________________________
Jack Straw charged the taxpayer for double the amount of council tax that he was actually paying for four years.
The Justice Secretary claimed between £807 and £943 a year from Commons expenses to cover the levy on his Blackburn constituency home from 2004.
However, shortly after it emerged that the receipts of MPs’ claims were to be made public, Mr Straw contacted the fees office to admit he had made a mistake over his council tax. In correspondence marked “in confidence”, he said: “I have been checking my claims since 04, and I have realised that my claims for council tax have been incorrect.”
The Cabinet minister wrote that because of a “50 per cent zero occupancy discount”, he had paid out far less than claimed and included a cheque for £1,395.88 to cover the difference.

(2009) New Labour ILLIGITIMATE “P.M.” Gordon Brown -PARASITE

Gordon Brown paid Andrew Brown more than £6,000 for “cleaning services” over the course of two years, and reclaimed the money from the taxpayer. He insisted tonight he had done nothing wrong.
The Prime Minister also claimed twice for the same £153 plumber’s bill – money which he paid back today after the Telegraph pointed out the discrepancy to Downing Street.
Jack Straw, Hazel Blears and Paul Murphy are among 13 members of the Government who have been dragged into the growing row over taxpayer-funded allowances by the Telegraph investigation.
The disclosures show the full extent to which MPs have exploited the expenses system to subsidise their lifestyles.
Details of MPs’ expenses claims are due to be made public in July, when 1.5 million receipts will be published by parliament under the Freedom of Information Act, covering five years’ worth of claims.
But crucial details such as the identity of people to whom money was paid and the location of homes which MPs claimed on will be deleted from the receipts when they are published, meaning many of the worst apparent abuses of the system may never have been uncovered.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Hazel Blears -PARASITE

Communities Secretary Ms Blears was among several Cabinet ministers who switched around the address they declare to be their “second home” in a way that allowed them to claim for refurbishments of more than one home.

(2009) New Labour Cllr.Joseph Shaw -PAEDOPHILE AND OWNER OF ILLEGAL GUN

A former Wigan councillor who downloaded child porn and had a gun and ammunition in his safe was today (Thur) jailed for six years.

A court heard that Joseph Shaw’s offending came to light after his daughter found the indecent images on his computer.

She was so shocked she did not initially tell anyone but after she found he had continued visiting child porn sites and also discovered texts on his phone apparently making obscene references to her she told a counsellor who alerted police.

JaIling 42-year-old Shaw, Judge David Swift said, “At the time you were in a possession of public responsibility, a man to whom others might look for an example.”

(2009) New Labour -ENTIRE BRANCH INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD

AN ENTIRE South Yorkshire Labour Party branch has been suspended for over a YEAR – after an astonishing in-house row between its members, the Times can reveal.
At one stage, detectives were even drafted into the investigate fraud allegations, amid claims and counter-claims of “bullying and harassment”.

(2009) New Labour Millionaire Shaun Woodward -PARASITE ON THE TAXPAYER

The richest member of the cabinet is claiming every penny of his taxpayer-funded second home expenses – despite having use of a luxurious grace and favour castle. The Northern Ireland Secretary Shaun Woodward, who is married to the supermarket heiress Camilla Sainsbury, claimed the maximum £23,083 under the controversial additional cost allowance. Mr Woodwood, who owns a string of luxury properties around the world, has access to Hillsborough Castle, the 18th-century mansion built by the 1st Marquis of Downshire, which is worth £88 million.

(2009) Former New Labour Mayor Jayne Amstrong-Yeomans -THIEF

Jayne Armstrong-Yeomans, 49, resorted to robbing from a social club, where she ran the bar, after becoming addicted to online poker and racking up gambling debts of more than £60,000.
The former Labour party councillor, who was mayor of Carlisle from 1993 until 1994, wept at the city’s Crown Court, where she was sentenced to 12 months for theft.
The court heard how Armstrong-Yeomans, now living in Falkirk, Scotland, stole £38,000 from the South End Constitutional Club, in Carlisle and then lied to club officials in a last-ditch attempt to hide her double life.

How the Parasites in Westminster Waste YOUR Taxes.

Quad bikes, window cleaning, beds, life insurance and mock Tudor fireplaces – these are just some of the things that the criminal pirates masquerading as Tory, Labour and Lib-Dem MPs at Westminster have claimed from your tax money as “benefits.”

Tory MP David Maclean claimed £3,300 for a quad bike which he claimed was necessary to get around his constituency in Cumbria. Not too surprisingly, Mr Maclean was also behind a failed bid to exempt MPs and peers from Freedom of Information laws that require public figures to reveal their expenses.

His fellow Tory MEP Giles Chichester sucked £500,000 into “office services” for a business – staffed by his own family and of which he was director. At the time, Mr Chichester had been appointed by Conservative leader David Cameron to ensure that Tory MEPs did not swindle the taxpayers.

Tory MP Derek Conway paid his sons, Henry and Freddie, £80,000 for being his “researchers.” Mr Conway was then exposed by the BNP’s spokesman on law and order, Mr Michael Barnbrook. Mr Conway was ordered to pay back a mere £13,160 after an enquiry found no evidence that Freddie did any research work for his father. He was ordered to cough up around £3,700 for Henry. Further investigations showed that the Conservative MP had spent more than £260,000 of taxpayer’s money in “salaries” to members of his immediate family over a six-year period.

Labour Party MP and former foreign secretary Margaret Beckett claimed more than £6,500 in allowances for gardening expenses at her home in Derby. This included bills for pruning shrubs, trimming the hedges and for dismantling and rebuilding a rockery. In 2006 she also tried to claim £600 in costs for her garden plants.

She was joined in this never-ending swindle by fellow Labour MP Barbara Follet who claimed £1,600 for window cleaning. To make matters worse, the invoices for the window cleaning were made out to her husband, well known fiction author Ken Follett.

Possibly the most outrageous swindler yet is Labour Minister Tony McNulty who claimed more than £60,000 for a “second home” which in fact is where his parents live. There is no excuse whatsoever for this blatant theft from the public purses, as Mr McNulty’s actual residence was only nine miles away from his parents’ house. Mr McNulty would have been arrested and charged with fraud under any normal financial regime.

Not to be outdone in the outrageous stakes was Liberal Democrat MP Mark Oaten. After he was forced to resign over a sex scandal involving male prostitutes, it transpired that he had claimed bedroom furniture and other household items from his Parliamentary allowance.

Labour’s former deputy Prime Minister John Prescott felt the need to redecorate his house in mock Tudor style, putting up reproduction panels and a beautiful fireplace. All very nice one might say — except that the taxpayer paid for all of it.

Labour husband and wife MP duo Alan and Ann Keen spent a mere £175,000 on a “second home” allowance to buy an apartment on the South Bank of the Thames — despite owning a home in Brentford, West London, which is only 30 minutes away by car. Mrs Keen also took out a joint life insurance policy worth £430,000 and claimed back the £867.57 a month premium on her expenses.

(2009) New Labour’s Jacqui Smith’s "Husband" -TAXPAYER-FUNDED PORN

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith’s husband was forced to make a humiliating apology this afternoon for causing her embarrassment over an expenses claim which included adult films he watched.

Speaking outside the couple’s home in Redditch, Worcestershire, Richard Timney told reporters: ‘I am really sorry for any embarrassment I have caused Jacqui.

‘I can fully understand why people might be angry and offended by this,

‘Quite obviously a claim should never have been made for these films, and as you know that money is being paid back.’

Mr Timney’s apology follows a statement earlier by Ms Smith who promised to pay back the money she wrongly claimed for the television package.

She had ‘mistakenly’ submitted the expenses claim which included five pay-per-view films, including the two adult movies which were viewed at her family home in her Redditch constituency.

The £67 bill was submitted last June as part of Ms Smith’s expenses.

___________________________________________________________________

Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, claimed £240 in taxpayer-funded expenses to buy an Apple iPhone for her husband.

Miss Smith bought the top-of-the-range mobile phone for Richard Timney, her husband of 22 years, who is paid to work as her constituency office manager in Redditch.

Documents appear to show she then began claiming expenses to cover the cost of both their monthly mobile telephone bills.

Mr Timney embarrassed his wife earlier this year, when it emerged that the cost of two pornographic films he watched at their home had been included on one of her expenses claims.

Miss Smith billed taxpayers for 90 per cent of the cost of the phone, on the basis that 90 per cent of the calls made by Mr Timney would be related to her work as an MP.

As well as working as a regular phone, the iPhone handset allows users to surf the internet, listen to their music collection and play computer games.

In a letter sent to the Commons fees office in January last year, Miss Smith wrote: “Until now I have not claimed for the use of my mobile phone, nor that of Richard Timney… I should like to claim for both phones from now on and backdate the claim to the start of this financial year. “I would estimate that 90 per cent of the costs are related to my work as an MP… I hope that this estimation is acceptable.”

(2009) New Labour M.P. Harry Cohen

Harry Cohen’s response to this public outrage: “When MP’s were given this allowance they were told, ‘Go and spend it boys’ and this is what I have done. It is my right.”

The Labour politician with the highest expenses claim of any London MP has denied that he was cheating taxpayers by claiming a second-home allowance while maintaining that his main home is a single-bedroom schoolhouse and seaside caravan 70 miles from his constituency.

Defiant Left-winger Harry Cohen said: ‘When MPs were given this allowance they were told “Go and spend it, boys” and that is what I have done. It is my right.’

His comments come as The Mail on Sunday launches a petition to demand a full enquiry into MPs’ expenses, to report within three months and NOT after the general election as is currently suggested.

Mr Cohen has claimed every single penny of the maximum £104,701 in Commons expenses in the past five years for his £375,000 property in his Leyton and Wanstead constituency in East London, on the basis that it is his ‘second home’.

Astonishingly, he says he has claimed the full second-home allowance since 1990.

It means he has pocketed a staggering £310,714 in total – believed to be the largest amount ever claimed by any MP.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Tony McNulty

Employment minister Tony McNulty claimed the money on the house in Harrow even though he moved out in 2002 and lives in Hammersmith, west London, with his wife.
But his spokesman says he still spends two or three days a week at his parents property doing constituency work and so was entitled to the allowance. He stopped claiming the expenses in January.
The Additional Costs Allowance, worth up to £24,000 a year, is paid to MPs from outside inner London to cover the cost of staying overnight away from their main home for the purpose of performing parliamentary duties.
Most MPs use the money to pay for a base in central London near to Westminster, though some, including Mr McNulty, opt to claim for the cost of running a constituency home.
Last month Home Secretary Jacqui Smith came under fire for claiming £116,000 in expenses for a second home while effectively lodging with her sister.

*************UPDATE*************

(28th March, 2009): Scandal-hit Employment Minister Tony McNulty has been challenged over whether he had broken electoral roll laws by declaring his address as his parents’ London home just two months ago – the house for which he admits he wrongly claimed Commons expenses.
Mr McNulty provoked outrage last week after The Mail on Sunday disclosed how he had claimed £60,000 in second-home allowances on his parents’ house in Harrow even though he does not stay there and lives elsewhere in the capital with his £225,000-a-year education chief wife.

(2009) New Labour M.P. Dawn Butler

A GOVERNMENT whip was today embroiled in the growing expenses row after claiming thousands of pounds for a second London home despite already having one within 10 miles of Westminster.
Assistant government whip Dawn Butler has claimed £37,245 in taxpayers’ cash in two years to pay for a second property.
The Labour MP for Brent South has a house in Wembley, aboutnine miles or a 32-minute Tube journey to Westminster, and a home in Stratford, about eight miles or a 24-minute Tube ride.
She was today facing questions over why she needed the two homes, which are almost exactly the same distance from the Houses of Parliament. Her office has stressed in the past that she moved into the Wembley house after being elected in 2005 to allow her to serve her constituents.
Ms Butler is the second government member to come under fire this week over second home allowances after it emerged Employment Minister Tony McNulty claimed £60,000 for a house in Harrow where his parents live.

(2009) New Labour Cllr. "unknown"

POLICE investigating allegations of corruption at Stoke-on-Trent City Council have questioned several councillors.
Up to four members of the council’s 16-strong Labour group are believed to have been interviewed by detectives in the last 24 hours.
None of the councillors was arrested, and all of them agreed to be questioned.
The move follows the arrest of Labour elected mayor Mark Meredith on March 6 on suspicion of misconduct in public office and complicity in corruption in public office.
He was picked up exactly a week after Conservative councillor Roger Ibbs was arrested on suspicion of corruption in public office.
Both men have since been bailed until June, pending further enquiries.
At the time of print the name of one of those arrested is unknown. The other three are below:

(2009) New Labour Cllr. Jean Edwards.

Burslem North councillor Jean Edwards is also expecting to be questioned. She said this morning: “All I can say is that I am going to be interviewed by the police, but I can not talk about the case.

“It is in the police’s hands and they are calling a lot of councillors in.”

A Labour Party source, who did not wish to be named, said: “The police questioned four of our members.

“They weren’t arrested, but they were warned it would not be advisable to refuse to be interviewed. We’ve been told not to be interviewed unless there is a Labour Party lawyer present.

(2009) New Labour Mayor Mark Meredith

The Labour Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested as part of a police inquiry into alleged corruption.
Mark Meredith was detained at dawn yesterday and questioned by detectives from Staffordshire Police. This followed the arrest last week of a senior Conservative councillor, Roger Ibbs, over corruption allegations.
Police are thought to be investigating alleged wrongdoing over a council decision to abandon plans to close a swimming pool. The inquiry began after a complaint by the council itself following an internal investigation. The plans had been scrapped when the council said it could not achieve the £60,000 savings that it had thought the closure would bring.

(2009) New Labour Cllr. Sean Holby

OPPOSITION leaders have called for the chairman of Bolton’s planning committee to consider his position after he admitted to operating an illegal taxi.
Labour councillor Sean Hornby has received a “simple caution” after admitting using his car as a taxi without a licence, acting as a taxi driver without a licence, operating a car as a taxi without an operator licence and using his car as a taxi without the correct insurance.
Yesterday, Bolton Council withdrew the case at Bolton Magistrates’ Court as Cllr Hornby accepted the caution — which means he admitted the offences.
His previous “not guilty” pleas were “vacated” — removed from the court.
The case has been ongoing since last August and has cost Bolton taxpayers thousands of pounds.
The Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats leaders have called on Cllr Hornby, who represents Little Lever and Darcy Lever, to consider his position.
Tory leader Cllr John Walsh said: “Anyone in public life is accountable. I hope Cllr Hornby will consider his position.”

NOTE: now consider the disparity with the outcome of Mr. Holby crime with the crime of the ordinary man on the street. Are councillors, M.P.s and other government figures above the law?

In Northern Ireland an illegal Taxi driver was banned for two years and fined £1500 pounds. And, more recently, South Wales Police, working with the local Council’s licensing officers and acting on demands from taxi drivers who work within the law, brought a succesful prosecution against a man who committed an identical offence to the Labour Councillor.
The illegal driver, clearly not a councillor, was fined a total of £715 with a 12 months driving disqualification.

(2009) New Labour Cllr. John James Jones

A COUNCILLOR has been banned from driving for two years.
John James Jones, 63, of North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court last week charged with dangerous driving, having an inappropriate licence and no insurance.
He was convicted and was given a two-year driving ban, fined £1000 and ordered to pay costs of £40.
But under the Local Government Act 1972 he also faces being booted off the council and banned from public office for five years.

(2007) New Labour Vote Rigging

Labour paid drug addicts to vote up to 25 times to rig a tightly fought election, a BBC investigation has alleged. Respect party representative Abdul Aziz claims that Labour spent £10,000 to gain a 666-vote majority and oust him from the ward of Aston in Birmingham. A community leader told Newsnight that he had been offered £20 for every postal vote he rigged and a drug addict claimed he was paid £5 for every vote he cast – netting himself £125. http://tinyurl.com/b3e5ob

New Labour’s Peter Hain M.P.

Former Cabinet minister Peter Hain was guilty of “serious and substantial” failings in not registering more than £100,000 of donations to his Labour deputy leadership campaign, according to Westminster’s sleaze watchdog. http://tinyurl.com/aple7bHis history:

1) The Guardian newspaper, on 10 January 2008, noted that Hain was being accused of not reporting £100,000 in contributions. It later emerged that a large part of these funds were channeled through a non-operating think tank, the Progressive Policies Forum. http://tinyurl.com/3cwjje

2) On 24 January 2008, he resigned from several posts including his position as Work and Pensions secretary, after the Electoral Commission referred the failure to report donations to Metropolitan Police.

3) Peter Hain’s campaign failed to declare £103,156 of donations, contrary to electoral law. http://tinyurl.com/b24yxz As the police investigation continued, further dubious financial practices surfaced including employing his 80-year-old mother on a Commons salary of £5,400 a year http://tinyurl.com/create.php

4) In 1976 Hain was tried for, and acquitted of, a 1974 bank robbery, allegedly having been framed by South African intelligence agents. Two schoolboys positively identified him. Despite modern DNA techniques and mass fingerprinting now being available no further investigation of this unsolved case is known to have taken place.

5) In 1972 Peter Hain was found guilty of criminal conspiracy and fined £200.

(2008) New Labour’s Lord Ahmed

The 51-year-old peer was at the wheel of his gold coloured X Type Jaguar when it ploughed into an Audi A4 that had broken down in the fast lane of the M1 near Rotherham.
Now almost a year after the death Lord Ahmed will appear before Magistrates in Sheffield on a date to be fixed.
As part of the investigation traffic police examined Lord Ahmed’s mobile phone on which he made a 999 call from the scene.
It was alleged that shortly before the emergency call a text message was sent to a journalist.
South Yorkshire Police investigators submitted a detailed file to the CPS who have now decided there is insufficient evidence for a charge of death by dangerous driving.
Instead the peer will face a lesser charge of dangerous driving.

Previous roguishness:
Labour Peer Lord Ahmed, in another gesture of warmth and solidarity towards Britain’s Al-Qaeda community, invited Islamic terror suspect Mahmoud Abu Rideh into the House of Commons as his personal guest in 2006, where he sat in the Commons public gallery and listened to a debate. Rideh –detained in Belmarsh prison under emergency laws following 9/11 and suspected of being a money-man for groups linked to Osama Bin Laden– said the day “was very interesting”. http://tinyurl.com/2a2e59

McEvilly was a lodger at his ex-partner Elaine Smith’s house on Railton Road in Norris Green at the time of the attack. A former Worcestershire council leader has pleaded guilty to stealing tens of thousands of pounds from a charity.

Ex-leader of Redditch Borough Council David Roy Cartwright, 52, admitted stealing at least £24,695 from local homeless charity Step Out Drop In.

He also admitted making false claims for the charity totalling £63,467 between June 1997 and April 2001.

Cartwright, of Donnington Close, Redditch, will return to Hereford Crown Court for sentencing on 27 February.

The Step Out Drop In charity has since collapsed.

(2009) New Labour -MONEY LAUNDERING

The first entry of the New Year goes to (who else, of course) New Labour…
The Labour Party is well known for providing a host of services for rewarding those who “donate” to their Party. Honours, Titles, Jobs and backhanders are just some of the “services” this prostitute of an organisation provides to keep its rotten self alive.
However taking money that was donated by well wishers to a charity and also funds paid by taxpayers to assist disadvantaged children reveals just how uncaring and corrupt the Labour Party of today is.
In a “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” deal with the children’s charity, the Catz Club, which runs after school clubs for disadvantaged children of usually ethnic origins, their shady dealings and method of operation have been revealed for all to see.
The Charity received a “loan” of £1.3 million pounds of taxpayers money from Futurebuilders and £200,000 from the National Lottery (Tax) of which at least £30,000 was swiftly channeled to the Labour Party in a way that certainly seems illegal to me.
Shortly afterwards, showing the one hand washing the other, £842,000 of the “loan” made by Furturebuilders was written off.

(2008) New Labour Former Cllr. Ben Williams

A FORMER Liverpool councillor today appeared in court charged with downloading indecent images of children – some said to be of the worst type.
Ben Williams, 34, of Norris Green appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court and spoke only to confirm his address.
The history tutor, who was supported by family and friends at the hearing, did not enter a plea to the 12 counts of making indecent images over a year-long period.

(2008) New Labour Cllr. Jonathan Phillips -PAEDOPHILE

A disgraced former Walsall councillor who left a computer memory stick containing child porn behind after a town hall meeting was today fined £443. Jonathan Phillips was placed on the sex offenders register for two years. The discovery was made after a council worker found the equipment belonging to Phillips in a meeting room at the Lichfield Street site. Phillips, of Eastbourne Street, Walsall, resigned from his position as a Labour councillor for the Birchills and Leamore ward after he was arrested by police last October. He was suspended from his work at Wolverhampton City Council. Miss Siobhan Wilkins, prosecuting, said Phillips received texts on his mobile phone but had accessed them by downloading from a website which he then copied onto a USB stick. This stick was found in September last year.

He then sent her a stream of obscene, sexually explicit and racist letters made from cutting out letters from newspapers. Not content with this, the Tory nutcase went on to distribute self-made cards in telephone boxes near to Mrs Guglielmi’s house containing her home contact details, offering the sale of illicit drugs and her services as a prostitute (needless to say, the perfectly respectable Mrs Guglielmi, a postmistress, has no involvement in either vice or narcotics of any kind). The court heard how Pallet’s psychotic hate campaign had turned Mrs Gulielmi from being a ”strong, calm, and composed” person into a “despairing neurotic” needing counselling and anti-depressants.
